ChatGPT is still utterly incompetent. As a test, I just spent an hour trying to get it to build a detailed list of simple productivity macros and instructions on how to program them using Keyboard Maestro and the more we worked on it the more it got wrong or lied to me.

Don’t discount petty office politics. At his 6 mos review, coworker got promoted & was told “You’re the future of the company” by a VP. Next week he was gone because another VP was fighting with the first VP and wanted to exert her authority so she zeroed out the position’s budget. Ugly. Very ugly.

In screenwriting, it important keep your projects fresh. Make sure they’re up to date with things like technology, current events, anything relevant. I just polished a script that got a lot of attention a few years ago. Thought it would take 2 weeks. Did it in 6 hours. Even cut 2 pages!! 😁

For the past 13 years I've been tracking my home energy costs vs usage. While 2024 saw the 2nd lowest usage since I started recording, my costs are the second highest. And that just sucks.

FINALLY cancelled my subscription to ChatGPT (don’t hate me for having one. I’m a psudo-technologist and have to stay on top of things). I wouldn’t tolerate such poor performance from an employee or team member (inaccurate with common facts, lies constantly). Why would I tolerate it from a machine?

Just spent 4hrs helping a relative apply for a state aid program. I’m eternally grateful for these programs. A LOT of people need help. But the process was unbelievably convoluted and 5 of the 7 phone numbers I had to call for clarifications are just message loops. This is nuts!
