Considering how bad the real estate sector in Russia is now, I wonder why they still have not collapsed.

Well, to be fair, we all face rising prices; the problem for them is that you add a refining problem and the fact that they cannot buy refined product at the price they want, so yes, adding to the real Russian inflation, it is huge; don't forget that most of russian have no alternative to live.

If they go south, they could block the Strait of Bab-el-Mandeb; if both are true, the price of oil will skyrocket to 120+ irs a disaster for everyone.

I do not claim that this is the solution, because it is not one; I simply think that constantly looking for a scapegoat instead of taking responsibility for our mistakes and finally moving forward in the right direction is counterproductive. But we can continue this and loose more time.

If there's no equality, it will not work. It's like this: you can see that there's zero unity in the European Union. Everyone plays for himself. The result will be more disastrous than having extremists in a few countries for five years. A disunited European Union will be consumed in this new era.

The fact that Macron's party sends their friends, and not the best of the best, to the European Parliament shows that they absolutely don't care about Europe. Europe was never the center of any debate; it's just the scapegoat used to absolve them of their disastrous track record at every election.

Yeah, surely it wasn't Western companies, for greed, that delocalized all their production to Asia or Eastern Europe to decrease European industry from 50% to less than 10%, which made us poor. Do you know about economic warfare? An unemployed person costs more than a dead person.

N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
That's exactly what those far-right groups, like Le Pen, will tell you, and that's how they'll get voters. The reality is, it's true, and even if they can't address the problem, everyone in France can see how France was before the European Union compared to now, and how Eastern Europe is now.

N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
Of course, they benefit the most from this system, unlike all the countries that pay more than they benefit to get all the disadvantages from the European Union. It benefits mostly those who delocate jobs from West Europe to get low-salary labor at the price of impoverishing Western countries.

N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
Not true. Macron is center. He has been in power for 10 years. Before him, it was Hollande, who was left-center. If the far right is gaining more popularity and voters, it's maybe because the people in power fail to address problems because they know they will stay in power against the far right.

N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
History, unfortunately, shows that it was not always the case, so I would be careful to think about what people want, because, besides what is happening in Ukraine that is tragic and should be fought, people in other countries have other problems to deal with that can make this war not the priority.

Half of aid not even declared and you magically have a number?
100
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
I agree with that part, but remember, half of the aid from France isn't even declared; they send it and won't tell anyone. Besides this, we still see that, after all, half the things aren't even sent by every country, and Taurus still waiting. The reality is it would be much more difficult without it
000
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
The main thing is they were never in power of anything, but I will agree with you that it's not the solution and they will probably not do a better job. Anyway, people will decide for whom they vote.
100
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
It's one of the most unattractive elections in France, sadly, and most political parties in France use it for internal benefit instead of taking it seriously. You just have to see how many from every party get jobs there after they lose their seats, only to be absent half of the time in parliament.
100
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
I don't think that's my point. My point is that the situation is like this right now because of the consequences of very bad politics during 40 years. Blaming the Russians or the party who never ruled the country is too easy instead of finding solutions and fixing our problems.
100
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
I don't say that it solves anything, but I'm explaining to you that it's too easy to blame the Russians for the problems we've had for 40 years now. Of course, it's not the solution, I agree with you, but it's absolutely what the political situation is after 40 years of bad decisions and inaction.
150
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
I agree with that. If our politicians would take active decisions to have power in the European Parliament, but we all know that they don't, since they only send their friends to get the money and let other countries decide what is good or not to vote, and after that, they have no power.

N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
I think we will soon enter the decisive moment when Europeans will have to make the decision to enter directly into war because of Putin's plan, going all in and forcing Kyiv to be empty for the coming winter. They will try again to march to Kyiv, this time it may work, so wake up, Europeans.
062
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
We all know that Europeans will try everything to avoid direct war, and Putin knows it. Anyway,he knows he is done if he doesn't go all in in Ukraine, so the situation is not simple because we are very close to the limit for both sides. The question is when Europeans will be forced to enter this war.
100
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
The main thing is opinion, like in America, with the majority supporting Ukraine. Besides that, the military lobby is full of NATO and people who support Ukraine too, so it's not that simple. And I think the point is not about siding with Russia but to finally try to find a way to end this war.
000
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
Tell me any other country besides America that is not France who can give warplanes, SCALP missiles, air defense, satellite reconnaissance, artillery, VABs, ammo, and a nuclear umbrella, and after that, maybe you will understand that we are giving, perhaps not enough for some, but more than most.
300
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
I mean, it was convenient for them not to spend any dollars on their own defense for 40 years to have a better quality of life and live dependent on America or others, but the reality is now they are all 40 years behind and war is at the door, so it's time to spend money and stop crying.
100
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
Yeah, because like we have sovereignty now with Macron? Like sovereignty is a big joke since we give power to the European Union to decide whatever we should think or do. And besides this, the problem is global in Europe because they are working against European citizens, that's why we are there.
500
N!ck0 @ncksa.bsky.social · 04/09/2026
I'm French, I can say that it's partially true, but the main thing that makes Le Pen and all those extreme parties likely to win the next election is the fact that the European Union and our politicians in power have failed to fix any problems for decades, so they are the ones to blame first.
