I found a place to live!!!! Huzzah!!!!

After so many years of travelling constantly for work, it makes no sense why living out of an Airbnb makes me this uncomfortable. The ‘I don’t know where I am’ dreams/wake up scaries are insane.

Related: @colyou.bsky.social deserves some real love the next couple weeks. I am an insane person with micromanaging control issues who is a nightmare to be with during a time like this. The fact that he knew all that and still married me is amazing…but he might need extra hugs.

Just in case anyone was wondering, moving several states away with a less than two-week turnaround is not for the faint of heart. Might have a complete meltdown somewhere between here and Deadwood.

Some very exciting personal news! I am overjoyed to announce that I have accepted the position as the new Timberwolves reporter at the Minnesota Star Tribune! I'm so excited to be joining a staff of incredible journalists, to move to a wonderful city, and to cover a wildly interesting team!

Last night I was driving and at a red light there was a few-months old golden retriever that plopped its head out the window of the car next to me and that feels like just about a good a sign as any that things are about to be great.

One time I took someone from Europe to a baseball game and was explaining how things worked and all I could think about was that movie Blast From the Past and Christopher Walken saying that runners advance after hits "because they must."

Plan for the Jazz is to sit Darryn Peterson, Ace Bailey and Cody Williams tomorrow in SLC and have them all available for July 9 in Vegas. Bailey left Saturday’s game early with back spasms and is not playing tonight, but the goal is for him to play in Vegas

Honestly still insane to think about how little the Mavs got for Luka. At least the Jazz got a pick haul

2475

Sarah Todd @nbasarah.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

Can confirm Jazz are sending Walker Kessler to the Lakers for a picks package that includes unprotected picks in 2031 and 2033, swaps in 2028 and 2030. Also, Jazz will get a trade exception worth half of Walker's first-year salary with the Lakers on his new, four-year $130M deal

4253

Sarah Todd @nbasarah.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

IMO It’s just really hard to justify upper 30’s for Kessler from a team perspective. I’m interested to hear what offers are like for Duren. We know what Hartenstein just got. And Kessler has been out for a year and has never played on a winning team much less even sniffed the playoffs.

Can confirm the Jazz are bringing back Jusuf Nurkić. The 2-year, $22 million deal is below what many believed Nurk would garner on the FA market, but the situation is helped by how much Nurk truly enjoyed last season, playing for Will Hardy and how valued he felt by the Jazz
