Since moving to my new house my bike ride to work is mostly the same - but now I have to cross 8 lanes of traffic at a singled crosswalk (I walk my bike across). This is by far the most dangerous part of my journey. So many drivers either don’t stop or take off as soon as you’re past them.

Finally biked from Winnipeg to Birds Hill Park! After 66.6km and a tough southern headwind, I made it home in 3.5 hours (and with 10% battery left??) My butt is sore and my legs are burning but I am so happy to have spend such a beautiful (yet windy!!) day outside.

Time to revisit an older piece and bring it to a finish. I don’t think I had the skills to complete this when I initially painted it in 2018. There’s a lot going on so it’ll be a challenge balancing out all the chaos! I will try to do that with values.

So In other news on my bike ride home today, I nearly got side-swiped and cut off by a truck. There were three completely EMPTY lanes they could’ve used - but nope! I will never understand why some people feel entitled to show such disregard for human life when they get behind the wheel of a car.
