A moment that will stand out in history for all the wrong reasons. The cruelty and insanity of Trump, Putin and all their gutless lackeys is impossible to understand.

‘Wilder grazers’ create richer, more dynamic habitats simply by eating and moving through the landscape. Your donation to our Restore Species, Restore Nature appeal can put more of them to work across Scotland. And until 27 Oct, your donation will be doubled. 👉 bit.pulse.ly/m235cyqllo
A close-up shot of a Exmoor pony mare and her young foal standing close together in warm sunlight. The mare has a thick, dark mane, a tan muzzle, and rests her head gently against her foal. The foal, with its head tilted sideways directly in front of the mother, has its mouth open in a wide, expressive yawn or neigh, showing its teeth and tongue. Both animals are illuminated by golden hour light against a soft, blurred green background. An adorable, ginger-furred Highland cattle calf peeks out from behind its mother’s fluffy hind leg and tail in a grassy field. The calf has a fuzzy face with pink nose, looking directly at the camera. An extreme close-up of a brown pony's snout with its mouth wide open in a yawning or laughing expression. Its pink gums, upper teeth, and tongue are clearly visible, while its dark nostrils are flared. The background is a soft, out-of-focus green.A close-up, low-angle shot of a black, curly-haired Belted Galloway cow standing in a grassy field, looking directly at the camera while licking its nose with a large pink tongue. 23,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 joules. That’s the amount of heat the oceans absorbed in 2025. A number so huge it’s almost meaningless…until you realise it’s roughly 40× humanity’s annual energy use. The ocean is buying us time. We’re running out of it. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

World’s oceans absorbed record heat equal to 40 times annual global energy use
The injection of thermal energy comes amid an increasing rise in sea levels and continuing acidification

It's an idea from arid parts of the US and Australia. We've had drought for months over summer and 36°C. I've topped up the greenhouse water twice and the aubergines had a couple of douses from above. Efficient as no loss to evaporation and a steady water supply through wicking so good plant health

natureali.bsky.social @natureali.bsky.social · 11/09/2026
This is the same principle but instead of an outpipe we've drilled holes in the side wall that set the level and you fill with a watering can using the black pipe you can see.
120
natureali.bsky.social @natureali.bsky.social · 11/09/2026
The whole of the base of this greenhouse is that construction, linked to the downpipe of the barn roof next door. I should add, the outflow pipe has an elbow on it so you can set the water level inside and there is an inspection chamber(old bin with holes drilled on) inside the bed.
010
natureali.bsky.social @natureali.bsky.social · 11/09/2026
Become stagnant. You can connect the in pipe to a down pipe from a building or have a pipe that you fill up from above.
010
natureali.bsky.social @natureali.bsky.social · 11/09/2026
No. I haven't found those very effective. This is effectively a gravel-filled pond with a semi- permeable membrane above then soil above. You have a pipe coming in at the top of the gravel layer and a pipe going out at the bottom of the layer at the other end of the bed so the water doesn't
