@flannelforever.bsky.social and I went for a hike today in Whitten Woods in New Portland, Maine. It's part of Somerset Woods and Water trails. The property used to belong to our family. It had been awhile since I have done The Big Rock hike to the Carrabassett River.

I worked in a bakery as a sweets baker. I was also the backup bread baker if our bread baker needed a day off. It took me longer to get the bread done because I didn't do it every day. My bagels looked great, but they were big. I apologized to retail because they didn't fit in the bagel cutter.

My partner and I fly to Florida for Thanksgiving. I make the pies. My first year there I used grocery store apples. The pies came out terrible. The next year I brought a bag of local Cortlands with me. A friend of my partners sister heard I had a bag of Cortlands. He's from Vermont.

My partner @flannelforever.bsky.social makes hot sauce. My peppers are taking longer this year. I'm worried that they won't have enough time. I overwinter some in our guest room. However, I have 40 pepper plants this year and can only fit about 10 plants inside.

I found four small tomato hornworms on my tomato plants this afternoon. So @flannelforever.bsky.social and I went out with a blacklight flashlight tonight and found three more. I'm going to trim some leaves and move my plants(in pots), to make it easier to inspect them again tomorrow night.
