The origin of Poison Ivy in the Batman is better than in the Batman & Robin movie and the goofy science accident in the New 52s origin. This was good

This interpretation of Pam Isley is really pretty awesome? She’s a bit younger in this version, but most of the Ivy personality is there BEFORE she gets super powers. New 52 Ivy was like that too. She was always kind of low key villainous.

And of course she has Greek columns all around her. 🏛️ The connections between Ivy and all things Ancient Greece is one of those I starred seeing all the time, once I started noticing it 😅

MA has a historic number of ballot questions. Here's a handy guide for the 9 statewide ballot questions this year.

✅VOTE YES ON 1 to expand the public records law to cover the Governor and the Legislature. We’re the only state in the country that doesn’t do that already. Let the sunlight in.

✅VOTE YES ON 2 to enable public defenders to collectively bargain. Every worker deserves to have a union, and public defenders, who are often overworked and underpaid, should be no exception.

❌VOTE NO ON 3 to prevent private equity billionaires from rigging our election system in their favor. Top-two primaries empower corporate PACs and self-funders, disadvantage grassroots candidates, and turn MAGA voters into election kingmakers.

✅VOTE YES ON 4 to enable voters to register to vote or update their registration on Election Day. No eligible voter should be turned away due to a clerical error, and this reform is one of the most proven ways to increase voter turnout.

❌VOTE NO ON 5 to protect our state’s ability to invest in health care, transportation, and public education. The rich would get millions in tax rebates, while the rest of us suffer from underfunded public services.

⚪VOTE how you want on 6. Question 6 fell shy of our endorsement threshold: our members valued land and water conservation, but were worried about the dedication of existing funds as opposed to new ones.

✅VOTE YES on 7 to enable more starter homes across the Commonwealth. We have a housing crisis, and large lot size requirements mean fewer homes are able to be built.

❌VOTE NO on 8 to protect our state’s cannabis laws. We said NO to the war on drugs back in 2016, and we shouldn’t turn back time and destroy local economies.

✅VOTE YES ON 9 to protect our state’s landmark gun safety law, which cracked down on ghost guns, banned machine gun conversion devices, and strengthened gun violence data collection.

I saw Sting perform “Message in a Bottle” back in 1991. It was his first show in Vermont, in front of 3000 at the UVM gymnasium. Score! Join me on the Choice Media Podcast as I revisit that unforgettable night and celebrate my favorite Police album (Regatta de Blanc). 🎶 rss.com/podcasts/ama...

In 1991, a young Police fan from rural Vermont got the chance to see Sting perform live at the University of Vermont Gymnasium.

This is how Dynasty Warriors 7 told that story. It’s definitely got some Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon energy. I also love how it sets up Zhang Fie’s heroism at the bridge as rearguard. The disaster at Changban was the finest hour of Liu Bei’s hero’s 👏👏👏 youtu.be/4h_mJb5W6Ns?...

Batman #14 was the third issue with Verity Pennyworth, and she was a major character in this one. There was a nice focus on Verity as an unflappable dispatcher who can also take care of business in the field. I discussed that on the Choice Media Podcast last night 👇

The idea that someone is putting me on is basically my starting point for at least half the screenshotted bad takes that I’ve seen. Lotta folks looking to move the needle at all costs; it really shouldn’t be viewed as a whole lot more than that?

000

NathanL75 @nathanl75.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

The image of Cassandra Cain going into battle carrying a child on her back had me thinking of that legendary scene with Zhou Yun in Three Kingdoms, where he runs through an enemy army to save his lord's infant son (it also inspired the Dynasty Warriors series). This was legendary stuff👏

At least it’s a place everyone goes. The stupidest aspect of the Ohio diner safaris is that the people eating at a diner during the week aren’t really representative of society as a whole. (I say this as someone who once worked at a diner)

There’s people who say Bluesky is an echo chamber. The people who say that the most tend to live in this legacy media bubble where a senator who votes the party line 96% of the time and was investigated by the FBI for corruption is Doing It The Right Way. So who is out of touch here 🤔🗿
