I trust them to make the necessary changes in the art direction, even if it eventually strays from what I have done since I joined the team. The situation of the gaming industry is dire, yes, but I will still look forward to new projects and new challenges. Support them, because they do need it.

Marc was the lead character design artist. I believe they have unpublished work from him that will be a while to run out. My guess: they're shifting towards the console ports release so to focus on that they have to let go of some of the art dpt... But dan has said they want to rehire ppl asap

It's an indie studio trying as much as they can to keep the game alive... It's rough but sometimes they have to make tough decisions. At least it's not about a Bonus paycheck like actual AAA studios, it'd just keeping the lights on

Honestly the big takeaway from the Mania 2 thing is ‘you should buy Penny’s Big Breakaway’ It’s an extremely charming game that you can really tell the team loved working on (and I hear it runs great on Switch 2, since there’s a framerate unlock toggle in the options)
