“You can activate former voters… or you can Invent a voter, and tell your existing voters they have nowhere else to go” (paraphrasing). Strategic voting is bunk. non-voters are consistently the plurality, and in many SK ridings they’re the overwhelming majority!

Congrats to @avilewis.ca! Despite what the Sask New Devine Party claims, there are thousands of Sask people who know we need socialist changes across the board

Great to see the NDP suddenly cares about CBOs and Age in Place culture, but it’s not a great sign that they’re merely reacting to groups who reached out during the 2024 writ. Parties with tons of resources ought to be more proactive. Maybe don’t spend so much time at oil and gas clubs

You hear a lot more about people stealing a stick of deodorant from a drug store than corporations stealing millions from their workers

She specifically cites Safe Consumption Sites, which can’t be found in the NDP platform! Only SPP and the Green Party care about them.

Not gonna link a Western Standard article but B Eyre continues the Saskparty tradition of mistaking the NDP for leftists. And lying about policy stances. Almost like it’s on purpose 🤔

I don’t think any MLA should have a side job, but if they do that luxury should come with FULL disclosure. MLA side jobs/investments provide a major loophole for political donations. Ex. Does Moe sell grain for the correct quality rates? His customers have an incentive to overpay their regulator.

UBI is literally an income boost for the entire bottom 60% of the population, which can also be seen as a tax cut. The belief it will lead to inflation is wrong-headed, especially a poverty level UBI. It will also grow the economy and lead to much savings. www.scottsantens.com/universal-ba...

Preliminary results from the Denver Basic Income Project that's providing cash to hundreds of unhoused people for one year using the first 6 months of data: • NO ONE receiving $1,000/mo still sleeping outside • Full-time employment increased • Fewer visits to the ER • Fewer nights spent in jail

The party is definitely in a transition period now, but even before the name/values change some commentators put the party to the left of the Sask NDP.
