To the extent this is true it’s an argument for public financing. I’m sure the average small donor has different priorities than the average voter but the other option under the current system is big special interests, which is probably worse than relying on your base to fund campaigns.

A friend of mine who’s 100% Italian was confused when his Ancestry test showed some Greek, Arab, Spanish, etc. Had to explain to him that’s how all our test results look. People have been trading, raiding and screwing across the Mediterranean for thousands of years, we’re all related.

I never got this logic. I go to a food truck if I’m on the go, I go to a restaurant when I’m looking to sit down and eat. There’s a bit of overlap — I guess fast food and more takeout-oriented restaurants compete with food trucks more — but overall they fill different niches for me at least.
