as low as it will go! if i am renting a VRBO or Airbnb, that is my shit until i check out, and i expect to be able to use all of the appliances in whatever way i would in my own home. if the AC is that expensive for them, they can include the electricity in the rental price. i'm a pill, tho!

a few of those looks like biscuit's cousins! i love my birds, they're pretty fun to hang out with.

I took a pic of this bad boy when I was doing my cemetery rounds the other day. I can't tell what is going on with it, but it's impressive whenever I visit.

i sympathize! i used to have an expensive dog. these guys are pretty low-maintenance, just cleaning the coop and making sure feeders and waterers are filled, but i end up spending a lot of time watching them because i like letting them out for recess and there are so many hawks & coyotes everywhere

she is so cute. i couldn't get it in the pic, but she also has a couple cowlicks on her back so there are some random feathers that stick out and make her look very insouciant.

My favorite thing in the world, probably, is the column in every issue of the White River Valley Herald called Weatherwise, which is the weather report from last week. They're always right, though! Better than WCAX.

I love him! I haven't seen any hummingbird moths in our garden, but I have a huge patch of crocosmia that is always absolutely infested with hummingbirds. They nest in the leaves for as long as there are still flowers on the plant haha.
