Waiting for Windfall’s Steam page to pass review so I can finally share it! 👀 Meanwhile, I’m at DevGAMM. Want to chat? Look for this T-shirt and come say hi! #DevGAMM #Windfall_Game #indiedev #gamedev

At Blender Conference in Amsterdam today! 🧡 I use Blender to build the world of Windfall, so it’s lovely to spend a day surrounded by people who make things with it. Time to collect ideas, meet fellow creators, and try not to come home with seventeen new projects. #bcon #Blender3D #indiedev
A blue Blender flag hangs above the entrance to an ornate historic building in Amsterdam. Tall arched windows and stone columns frame the doorway, with a few conference attendees gathered outside.

Sorry for the silence — I've been building Serena's lakehouse. Now it's getting textures: weathered planks, a turf roof, a stone plinth sunk into the ground. Still raw, but it finally looks lived in. #gamedev #indiedev #b3d #SubstancePainter #UE5 #Windfall_Game
A small wooden cabin with a steep turf roof stands in a wide autumn meadow under a blue sky with light clouds. Its walls are vertical weathered planks, dark grey-brown, framed by thick corner posts and diagonal braces. Heavy hewn barge boards cross above the gable, with a round ridge log on top. The cabin sits on a low plinth of rough grey stones with two big stone steps at the door. A wooden barrel, a stack of firewood and a small fence stand beside it. Pine trees and rolling hills in the background, blurred dry grass in the foreground.

Windfall remains my main project, but it isn’t my only game. I’m also making HEQET, an Ancient Egyptian beer brewing sim, and Leningrad: Siege of Winter, about civilian life during the siege 1941 - 1944. Both are made in Godot. #indiedev #gamedev #Windfall_Game #godot
Early screenshot from Leningrad: a dark, sparsely furnished apartment during the siege. A small iron stove casts warm slatted light across the floor; taped windows, a bed, shelves, a table, a chair and stacked firewood are barely visible in the gloom.Early first-person screenshot from HEQET: a sunlit ancient Egyptian brewery courtyard surrounded by pale mud-brick walls. The player carries an empty water jug past bundles of grain, pottery and a large brewing vessel; the prototype UI shows workers, beer production, time and coins.

Serena's full turnaround, front to back. Two silhouettes — with the shawl and without — so the same character reads as herself whichever way the camera catches her. Art by [Temurise](www.artstation.com/temurise) #Windfall_Game #indiedev #gamedev #characterart #conceptart
Character turnaround sheet: front, side, and back views of the
same woman, each shown both with and without a fringed knitted
shawl. Includes a colour palette (navy, dusty rose, olive, deep
red, brown) and reference swatches for hair styling and the
shawl's knit texture.

Serena, in three colourways. Layered wool, a knitted shawl, and whatever she gathered that morning still tied at her belt. Art by Temurise: [www.artstation.com/temurise] #Windfall_Game #indiedev #gamedev #characterart #conceptart
Character concept art: three full-body versions of the same woman,
side by side against a dark grey background. She is middle-aged and
pale, with dark hair pinned back and a faint warm smile. Each version
wears the same outfit in different colours: a fringed knitted shawl
fastened at the chest, a belted tunic with embroidery, a long skirt,
laced ankle boots, a satchel on a shoulder strap, and a bundle of
dried twigs tied at her waist. Left: olive shawl over a deep red tunic
and blue skirt. Centre: grey-blue shawl over an olive tunic and navy
skirt. Right: dusty pink shawl over a dark green tunic and brown skirt.

Serena, the lake witch — first silhouette pass. Mira is built for the road: boots, apron, ready to move. Serena is the opposite. She hasn't left her lake in years. Which one reads most like someone who's been waiting? #Windfall_Game #conceptart #characterdesign #indiedev #gamedev
Fifteen greyscale character concept sketches arranged in a 5×3 grid. The same faceless woman in each, standing with arms slightly out, wearing different outfits. The designs range from practical travelling clothes — aprons, belted tunics, boots, satchels — to long layered skirts with shawls and capelets, to heavy ragged cloaks with torn, trailing hems. No colour; the studies use only light and dark values to compare silhouettes.

Brewing System in Windfall, first raw version. The cauldron holds a real volume — pour water and the level rises, add a herb and the color follows. Boiling isn't a timer: the pot heats up, and a fuller pot takes longer to get there. #indiedev #gamedev #UnrealEngine #cozygames #Windfall_Game

While I’m working on the potion-brewing system, meet Mira — the protagonist of Windfall 🌿 Her full concept art is finally ready, created by the wonderful Temurise. Mira is a herbalist, a traveler, and the person at the heart of Windfall. And now it’s finally time to bring her into 3D.
Concept art of Mira, the protagonist of Windfall. Two full-body front views show her with and without a worn rust-red cloak. She wears a muted green tunic, dark trousers and boots, leather belts and herbalist pouches. She has short brown hair with a long braided strand.Character turnaround of Mira from Windfall, showing front, back and side views with and without her cloak. Details include layered travel clothes, leather belts and pouches, a long braid, worn fabric edges, and a roughly patched rust-red cloak.

It’s way too hot to be productive… …but the potion brewing system isn’t going to build itself. 🧪🌿 What’s your go-to cold drink? #IndieDev #GameDev #SubstancePainter #windfall_game
A black cast-iron cauldron filled with bright green potion. The cauldron has a worn, handcrafted look and sits on a plain white background. A work-in-progress 3D asset for the game Windfall.

Windfall is a solo project — for now. UI and art are outsourced; everything else (world, systems, code, 3D, the website, this account) is on me. I’m starting to look for people to bring on — properly, not just for one-off tasks. #gamedev #indiedev #solodev #windfall_game
A photo of a laptop screen showing Unreal Engine: a woman with red hair stands on a dirt path at sunset, a grey donkey and cart in the distance, rolling hills beyond.

No heroes conjured out of thin air. A girl lives her life, then — bang — circumstances turn her into a chosen one and the villagers can't cook porridge without her wisdom. I don't want that. Wonder should feel rare. Or so ordinary that nobody panics anymore.
A tall standing stone carved with glowing golden runes, rising from wet ground in misty forest at dawn, pale light breaking through fog behind dark spruces.

When people say "fantasy," they usually picture dragons, prophecies, great battles, magic that reshapes the world. I like those stories. But that's not the one I want to tell.
A woman in a rough linen tunic stands beside a grey donkey and a wooden cart on a dirt road, golden evening light across rolling grassland hills.

Mira's been through a few versions. Practical northern layers, an apothecary belt, and a digging staff — no pointy hats in this world. Art by Temurise #gamedev #indiedev #conceptart #characterdesign #indiegame #windfall
