You don't think he'd lie, do you? 🤔🙄😐

"Trump says he's negotiated 200 trade deals - but he won't say with whom."
"Uhhhhh..."

Just started reading "Insight is 20/20: How To Trust Yourself To Protect Yourself From Narcissistic Abuse & Toxic Relationships" by @awkn9111.bsky.social This book comes highly recommended.

Today the world observes Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) to raise awareness about transgender people. It is a day to celebrate the lives and contributions of trans people, while also drawing attention to the disproportionate levels of poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces.

Notice how much this resembles the GOP right now... denial, gaslighting, minimizing, blameshifting. To a narcissist the "truth" is not seen as a finite, fixed entity, but as being whatever the narcissist says it is in that moment.

That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.

Gandhi's ideas of "civil disobedience" meant non-violent resistance to injustice. He is also quoted as saying, "Noncooperation with evil is as much a duty as cooperation with good."

"Civil disobedience becomes a sacred duty when the state has become lawless or corrupt."
Mahatma Gandhi

Gaslighting is more about trying to make someone else question their own sanity/reality. I think these examples are simply lying, but he does use gaslighting as well.
