Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Having to label a shirt so readers know it’s Jesus isn’t exactly a high point in the pantheon of editorial cartoons, too. 010

Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 15/08/2026There are a few from back then that I choose not to re-read specifically because I liked them and I know they won’t hold up. It’s OK to preserve a memory of a book as you remember it. Lately I’ve wanted to re-read certain books from high school to give them proper attention, though. 010

Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 25/07/2026I have nearly every Hellboy title in the digital format. And I could buy the Monster-Sized Hellboy for $60. I also have them in floppies (at least a lot of them early on). So much overlap across formats. 000

Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 16/07/2026Hi! Would any of the people who used to follow me on Twitter care to follow me here, too? My feed is 79% posts from @patrickzircher.bsky.social—which is fine most of the time. But a little variety is also nice. 101
Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 16/07/2026I hated when DC did this years ago, too. Metropolis and Gotham aren’t analogues of L.A., and nobody remembers Spider-Man swinging around Burbank, or Daredevil being the savior of Laurel Canyon. 010
Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 17/06/2026I…may have taken this figure (from SPEEDING BULLETS, where Kal-El lands in Gotham, not Kansas, and is adopted by the Waynes) that my kid left laying around and made him perform some Shakespeare in the park. Er, dinner table theater? Yeah, that. 010
Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 13/06/2026Victoria read with him a year or two before that book came out, after his collection debuted. We had dinner. Nice dude, but seemed perplexed that I was not an avid fisherman. 110

Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 09/06/2026Hey, NYC and MSG— Great job during tonight’s national anthem of making it clear that your boos were for the Orange Stain, and not for the anthem, the country, or the wonderful Broadway singer. Well done. Your friend, A Pacers fan 020
Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 08/06/2026I do see now that they made some apologies in previous updates. So there's that, at least. But this is update #87. Eighty-fucking-seven! That alone says it all. Guess they got tired of saying they're sorry. 000
Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 08/06/2026Some artists can make a living just from Kickstarter and conventions and selling sketches, but...who would ever back a project by any of these creators again? 100
Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 08/06/2026I have been more than forgiving and agreeable about this. Two years late? Three? Even four? OK, shit happens. I'm patient. But come the fuck on. Also, why not just send an email to every comics editor/publisher that says, "Hey, you can't even count on me. Please don't hire me." 100
Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 08/06/2026The artist hasn't posted an update in a few years. Now it's just the writer (or one of them). But I backed it for the artist. He owes me a 6" x 9" sketch. Honestly, I don't even want the book, at this point. I can't read it on its own terms. It will always be the book that was eight years late. 100
Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 08/06/2026I received an update on a Kickstarter comics project I backed a long time ago. The update does not contain an apology. So I logged in to check; this was "successfully funded on Dec. 14, 2018." That was my son's 4th birthday. He's 11 now. For fuck's sake, get your shit together, comics people. 100
Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 03/06/2026A clarification I could have made, and should still make—and I do have an “edit” button. 🙂 Thanks for reading and sharing, Patch. 010
Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 03/06/2026I’ve always been interested in the concept of swiping. And I agree that this is not an example of it. Andrew Scott @naptown.bsky.social · 31/05/2026I preferred B&N to Borders, but I still miss the massive, two-part Borders in downtown Indianapolis. Waldenbooks > Books-a-Million. In NYC, my favorite is Three Lives. But I like almost all of the major bookstores there. City Lights is cool. Elliott Bay Books is cool. Never been to Powell’s. 000
