Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 05/10/2026As someone who crochets and who loves fountain pens and ink I understand perfectly. Taking a break until the new year may be a challenge, but I have faith in you. 040
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 23/09/2026When you feel up to it, learn how to make the foundation single crochet stitch. It changed my life! Projects are so much easier to start now. 010
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Sorry for being vague! Ben Franklin and the not-white Germans. 110
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Can you suggest a history resource so I can document this? It would be useful in certain arguments I’ve encountered. 100
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Baby blankets should always be done in acrylic. Unless you hate the parents, in which case non-superwash, hand-wash only wool is a good choice. 010
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 18/09/2026I understand completely. This is why certain inks are only opened in the bathroom, over the sink. 000
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Pilot Varsities are fun because while they are sold as disposable pens, it is possible to refill them. It takes a certain amount of courage and enough time to soak the last of the original ink out of the insides, but it can be done. 100
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I’ve refilled a few, mostly to prove to myself I could. They are nice basic writers and I would recommend them to someone who was curious but hesitant about cost. 010

Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 12/09/2026I mean, ‘no money, no Swiss’ is a principle. It may not be elevated, but it’s coherent. 010
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 08/09/2026RT if you’ve never had a tab of ChatGPT open, period. 001
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 07/09/2026It’s a big project. In case you need another suggestion: keep some in your car for when you spot a Little Free Library. 110
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Having to pack and move during chemo made me very ruthless about books. You have my full support for your project! 110
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 07/09/2026I’m planning on getting both (as is my custom), but I worry about getting them too early in the season. I usually wait until October. 120
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 06/09/2026I was never part of the HP fandom (tried reading the first book, didn’t like it), but this matches what I remember as an outside observer. 020

Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Child SA is not confined to religious leaders. It would be a much simpler problem to deal with if it was. You are doing children a disservice by pretending otherwise. Exhibit A: www.propublica.org/article/aau-...propublica.orgA Youth Sports Giant Promised Reforms to Protect Kids From Sexual Abuse. Most Never Happened.More than a decade after the Amateur Athletic Union promised to implement “historic child protection measures,” it still hasn’t done so, leaving hundreds of thousands of kids at risk. Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 06/09/2026I myself am not a reader of romance, but I know enough about the genre to know that this is not a body of writers you want to mess with. 010
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I’m a military history dilettante with no naval experience whatsoever. Just mentioning the Trump battleship will send me into a frenzy of outrage. Battleships! Bah! 120
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I work remotely and I like to crochet during our online team meetings. Once my supervisor noticed what I was doing and mentioned it. I told him it kept my hands busy so that I couldn’t pick up my phone, and he thanked me for not playing with my phone during meetings. 010
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I feel that you have a much higher opinion of the public than I do. 000
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I mean, some people need to be told to stay away from bison. Reminding the public that large wild cats do not want to be petted seems prudent. 120

Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 04/09/2026I am alive because of immunotheropy. My stage 4 cancer was completely ignoring my traditional chemo treatments; an immunotherapy treatment stomped it into non-existence. 2341
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Honestly, I am looking forward to seeing the various Franciscan orders run with this. 030
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 04/09/2026I think the problem here is that the Roman Catholic Church doesn’t map neatly onto American political categories. It will be progressive or regressive, depending on the issue you are looking at. 010
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 03/09/2026I cove my Lamys! I own too many of them but they just came out with a really pretty XL and now I am lusting it. 020
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Yes. He’s a miserable human being, but you see what he’s hiding from. It makes his turn-around more meaningful. 020
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 02/09/2026As I am not special enough to comment on Claire Willett’s posts, I will here support her point that the Rapture is not, repeat not, a Catholic belief. And while the Book of Revelation has a lot to say about living as a follower of Christ, it’s not God’s playbook for the future. 020
Reposted by Nancy SauerClaire Willett @clairewillett.bsky.social · 02/09/2026not for nothing but of all the Confirmation classes I taught in the early aughts, one of the biggest hits was a session on Revelations it was basically "no we don't believe in the Rapture" / "the Left Behind books are trash" / "if a Catholic starts talking End Times shit to you, run" 41752353
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 31/08/2026I have been slowly accumulating evidence for this in my reading and it’s interesting to find a professional who pulls it all together. 010
Nancy Sauer @nancysauer.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Yes! Remember that if you need to rip back some stitches and do the row(s) over you haven’t wasted time, you have gained practice. I’m in a club with people who have been knitting and crocheting for decades and they are completely comfortable with saying “I’ve messed this up, doing it over”. 010
