Like, I'm Dutch, we super-love coffee and drink a whole bunch of it. I'm on 4-5 cups a day, but spread out, not in 1 go like a weird-ass hot drink fiend.

I think the sizes are pretty wild. Like, I can get behind a tall coffee to go, that's about as much coffee as soda in a can, so 2 good cups. That seems a generous amount of coffee, but it's to go, so there's like a refill included. Venti is 2 cans of soda, but hot coffee. that's an insane order.

I've cycle every day without one, but if I was anywhere outside of the Netherlands or Belgium, I'd very much insist on a helmet. also I'd be shit-scared to bike in most places where people aren't also near-daily cyclists.

Also most bikes are those front leaning sporty numbers. Anything goes wrong on those you fly over the handlebars instead of just tipping over like on an upright one. City bikes are nice and straight but many folks riding them cycle what? 10 days a year when the weather's nice? Keep the helmet on!

This is one of those technically right but practically silly takes. Like, yes focusing on helmets takes away from things that help more, like separated lanes etc., as long as none of that is in place anywhere (outside of Carmel, IN) it's very cart before the horse-y.

This is my favorite sceenshot of any TV show. I'll admit, as a Dutch guy I'm biased, but this is what The Blacklist thought life in the Netherlands was like in 2016.
