NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I regret naming my game “Öoo” because I can’t search for people’s reactions on Bluesky 😭 16811

NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 30/09/2026On this project I'm working on right now, I can barely remember meeting any of my self-imposed deadlines. If I worked at a company, I'd probably be fired by now. 0481
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 18/09/2026I’ll be there on the 20th too! Would it be easier to meet sometime in the afternoon that day? 100
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 17/09/2026I just saw this message! I’ll head over tomorrow afternoon! 110

With no proper instructions, you must deduce and achieve your goals as you solve puzzles, find mysterious items, and uncover secrets hiding right under your nose. 13428135
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Early on I was like, “I don’t even need to heal, this is easy,” but then the enemies got pretty tough later on and I was like, “Well... I haven’t healed at all up to this point...” and somehow I ended up doing a weird no-healing challenge for no reason... 0210
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 12/09/2026I used to think working on a game for years must be incredibly hard, but once you’ve spent a few months on it, that “I’ve already come this far…” feeling starts piling up, and somehow quitting just stops feeling like an option. 1725
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Being able to rematch a boss right away might be more important than I thought. “I kinda just won” or “I wish I’d won in a cooler way” can leave you feeling a little unsatisfied. Being able to rematch right away lets you go for a win you’re actually happy with. 0180
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 08/09/2026I feel like the history of The Legend of Zelda is also the history of puzzles. 0163
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 07/09/2026“Can be completed in 2–3 hours” is a pretty effective selling point for me. 18913
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Onimusha: Way of the Sword. If I’m truly unrivaled, let me fight this old man. 050
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Lately, I’ve been thinking that the skills needed for development are all different, but they actually influence each other. Technical skills can create fun ideas, design skills can make up for technical limitations, and marketing can also lead to new ideas. 2685
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I actually think that if you factor in making a living, developing games as a team might be harder than developing them solo. 0210
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 01/09/2026fromsoftware games often put an unbeatable enemy early on, then let you beat them later or on a second playthrough to show how much you’ve grown. I think that’s structurally pretty similar to a “knowledge unlock.” 3320
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 30/08/2026I think one of the best things about SEKIRO is that the final boss is the most fun fight in the game. 1240
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 29/08/2026I feel like math might have the deepest “knowledge unlocks” of any field. 2210
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 27/08/2026I didn’t know who Shigeru Miyamoto was back then either, and when I found out he was behind Donkey Kong, Mario, Zelda, and Pikmin, I remember thinking, “Wait, he made all of those?! That’s insane.” 1280
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Before I started making games, I thought every game released on Nintendo consoles was made by Nintendo. 2331
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 26/08/2026I feel like games that are fun to play and games that are fun to make can be pretty different. 1422
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 25/08/2026I think most puzzle game developers write their own code. 2250
NamaTakahashi @namataka.bsky.social · 24/08/2026I managed to beat it without talking to the skulls. I think I only talked to one of them. 010
