Realizing the image preview wasn’t loading for some reason. It uses the energy rim from the Pro EVO 3 instead of a carbon plate or the energy rods.

I set myself an ambitious goal that was a little scary for me, but I managed to finish the Ottawa Race Weekend Half Marathon under 1:40! Absolutely thrilled about my result, less thrilled about rolling my ankle at 10km.

After that longest run last Sunday and having to have my long run today instead of tomorrow for scheduling reasons, my weekly mileage looks ridiculous. Tomorrow is a well-deserved rest day. 2 weeks, 1 day till half marathon.

Have been very busy with side stuff but I just wanted to take a moment and say a huge thank you to everyone who backed SLAY! and The Girlfriend Survives on Zoop! Crowdfunding is always such a nerve wracking thing but you all helped shout about it and support it! I’m grateful!

When I was a child, I won a drawing submission contest of some kind on a French-Canadian TV show called Bibi et Geneviève, which was about a girl and an alien and this is what they looked like:

Okay, the truth is, Billy Bright is indeed Brightstar (shh!! 🤫). Here are a few design sketches. Brightstar may remind you of some other super hero that you may have heard of but this story is a little different from the other guy’s. Back The Girlfriend Survives at Zoop.gg/c/slay

Four character designs. The first is of super hero Brightstar, who wears a domino mask, a cape, and tights, decorated by a star and stripes. The three others are of his secret identity, Billy Bright, dressed in a plaid shirt and pants, a suit, and a T-shirt and jeans.

Here are some designs for the two main characters from The Girlfriend Survives. First we have Delilah, who is meant to have a very wholesome, cute appearance. Though she is mostly in her barista uniform in this first issue, we do see some of the other outfits too. Help us fund TGS at Zoop.gg/c/slay

8 character design sketches for Delilah Dillon. The styles are a little hippy, wholesome, and casual, other than her barista uniform. She was a long braid that comes down onto her left side.

I thought making a character’s costume all black would make it easy to draw and ink but instead it’s a huge headache. #wielderswill

Love this answer @jeremywhitley.bsky.social gave in this interview! Help us make The Girlfriend Survives/SLAY! Zoop.gg/c/slay

Screen cap from Comics Beat article reads:

For me, I will never stop beating the drum of “if the most interesting thing you can do with a character is kill them, you didn’t create a very interesting character” and so often that is exactly the problem with love interest characters in superhero comics. The problem isn’t that the girlfriend character is there, it isn’t even that she dies, it’s that dying is the most interesting thing she can do. What if the girlfriend took control of the narrative? What if she became the protagonist? What if she changed the whole story?

The super hero comics market is pretty saturated so I figured it’s not something I would ever end up drawing but when @jeremywhitley.bsky.social brought up the concept behind this story, I couldn’t resist. (1/3)

📢 WEBCOMIC ANNOUNCEMENT! 📢 Very excited to announce Wielder’s Will is coming in June 2026! Sena and Kei are the champions of their respective rival nations. But as they come to realize they are simply weapons wielded by their countries, can they find something worth fighting for in each other?
