Berkeley Lab and Brattle Group published some initial findings on why retail electricity rates have risen over the last 5 years (2019-2024). While they didn't look at all possible factors or every utility, the report is still pretty significant. #energysky #energyhub

Last week was NYC Climate Week. I left NYC Climate Week less optimistic and more concerned for the future than ever. At the events I attended, many speakers stressed the importance of "supporting data centers" and how we "must win the AI race" while hyping up their unproven products and services.
