Yeah, it's purely an art project. But a loading spinner that's just this guy scuttling across the page while your scraper runs? I'd pay for that

Freibad season 2026 is officially over 😔 My last outdoor swim of the year: > air +24 ℃ > water +21.2 ℃ > 1200 m (too cold for more 🥶) Not bad for the end of September. See you next year, Badi 👋 #buildinpublic #founderlife #freibad #swimming

First G2 reviews for Roadmappy 😊 Months of building a B2B #SaaS that lets teams plan roadmaps from all customer touchpoints. And now real users are saying it helps. Thank you to the teams using Roadmappy and those who left a review. Each one gets our small team found 🧡 #buildinpublic #founderlife

Yes, quite a bit. Google's AI answers pull from its own index, ChatGPT leans mostly on Bing. And each engine cites differently: AI Overviews and AI Mode share only ~14% of cited URLs, and only ~12% of ChatGPT/Gemini/Copilot citations rank in Google's top 10.

Google still handles ~9 in 10 searches worldwide and sends almost 100x more referral traffic than ChatGPT. Even Google's own docs say optimising for AI answers "is still SEO"

Tired of loud posts about the future of #SEO, so I did the research myself. With high confidence: Is SEO dead? > No Is it still worth investing in? > Yes Does #AEO/#GEO depend on SEO? > Yes for eligibility > Partly for selection What's dying is the 'rank→click' model, not SEO. #buildinpublic

And most of it is already public on other directories anyway 🙃

Directory UX in 2026: 1. fill in all the forms 2. upload all your assets 3. click publish 4. surprise: it's paid, here's the price 🤷‍♂️ If your directory is worth paying for, put the price on the first screen. Hidden paywalls just burn trust. #buildinpublic #saas #directories #indiehackers

I think every startup has a list of goals like the one Marc Lou posted. The thing is, it's only worth sharing when you've achieved a few meaningful ones. So for now, here's just proof that ours exists 🙃, written in a cozy chocolate bar in HCMC 🇻🇳 #buildinpublic #startuplife

G2, since it updates first. But right now, none of them, because the pricing bug wipes our data after saving.
010
Nadya Voynich @nadyavoynich.com · 25/09/2026
That's still ahead of us. What ended up working for you: asking customers directly, or G2's own review campaigns?
110
Nadya Voynich @nadyavoynich.com · 25/09/2026
Too early to tell. The listing went live recently, and changes take days to weeks to propagate. Plus, I still need to request a category change. And a G2 listing alone won't get you cited. I'll share if I see Roadmappy show up in answers.

8/ In November, G2 launches a unified platform for all 4 directories. The current bugs look like growing pains from stitching Gartner's old systems together. Definitely worth doing for LLM visibility and distribution. Just double-check every single field before you trust what buyers are seeing.
010
Nadya Voynich @nadyavoynich.com · 25/09/2026
7/ 3. Screenshot rendering Standard screenshots that meet the requirements show errors on GetApp and Software Advice. 4. Updates take time Changes take 1-2 days to reach the other 3 directories. Even on G2, a new review won't move your average rating until the next business day.
110
Nadya Voynich @nadyavoynich.com · 25/09/2026
6/ 2. Localization bugs The International Markets tab pulls descriptions from random companies. And the default English description wasn't editable for us and showed incorrect info.
110
Nadya Voynich @nadyavoynich.com · 25/09/2026
5/ Now the messy reality (and the slow parts) 😑 1. Pricing sync is broken Pricing disappears after saving and takes up to 30 days to reach Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice. Change your prices and you're stuck showing outdated numbers on 3 marketplaces, no way to force a refresh.
110
Nadya Voynich @nadyavoynich.com · 25/09/2026
4/ The huge upside: G2 acquired Gartner's Digital Markets portfolio. Register once, and your product automatically lists on 4 platforms: G2, Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice. You manage all of them from the my.G2 portal.
110
Nadya Voynich @nadyavoynich.com · 25/09/2026
3/ More basics: • B2B + B2C products can list, but the profile and reviews must focus on the B2B side • G2 assigns categories automatically. Wait at least 1 business day before requesting changes
110
Nadya Voynich @nadyavoynich.com · 25/09/2026
2/ The basics: • personal account verified via LinkedIn • business email matching your product domain • submit directly at g2[.]com/products/new (good luck finding it in the UI) • only standalone B2B products/services qualify: no alpha/beta, no minor extensions or integrations
110
Nadya Voynich @nadyavoynich.com · 25/09/2026
G2 is the 4th most-cited source on ChatGPT and 9th on Perplexity (~75% of its review-site citations). If you sell B2B software, you kind of have to be there. Here are my field notes from listing Roadmappy on G2 🧵 #buildinpublic #saas #aisearch

When I came back from my workout and started working with Claude Opus, I was surprised by its speed and the quality of its replies. Then I noticed it wasn't Opus 5 — it was Opus 5.5. Remarkable that it outperforms Fable 5.1 and is cheaper than Opus 5. Impressed. Will keep testing 👩‍💻 #buildinpublic

Listed Roadmappy on #G2 yesterday. Why? ✓ Google ranking ✓ LLM citation ✓ social proof from reviews Nobody buys software because of a G2 badge. But not on G2 — not in the answer. The listing process itself was a mess in places 😬 Writing about it. Coming soon. #buildinpublic #saas #geo #seo #aeo

Chat history isn't a design system, but nothing says it has to be. We run brand and component rules as an org-level skill, so every chat picks up the same one. Did it drift even with the components defined somewhere it could read?
