More New Data Art! ✨ I got to visualize a private equity firm's data as a piece of art. I can't divulge more about the what and how, but I hope you can simply enjoy how it looks ;) It's basically built of from ±15 million tiny dots. 👉 www.visualcinnamon.com/art/rays/

New Data Art! ✨ Did you know cities grow like bacteria? 🦠🏙️ For my new piece "Growing Cities," I collaborated with EPFL URBES Lab to visualize the evolution of 13 Chinese cities as radial, "tree-ring" growth See the data artwork here: www.visualcinnamon.com/art/epfl-gro... #DataViz #DataArt

To quote my past self ;) "This is probably my favorite book in terms of teaching you the best practices of data visualization. … No matter what you use to visualize your data with, this book is for you." Now available as a very affordable e-book 👇

I spend nearly a year on this personal project to create a giant map of the world to dominate a wall in my living room It's size is 2.85m by 1.5m and I love it! 🤩 See more photos and read about the creation process here: www.visualcinnamon.com/portfolio/wo...

As always, thank you for putting this together so I don't have to be on top of the latest and best dataviz being published across the web myself 😆 And thank you also for featuring, and kind words about, Searching for Birds 🤗

Thank you! 🤗 I looked into _a lot_ of design directions (and some I made some early tests for) before finally finding something that felt right. I thought about a blog actually, but I'm simply too busy right now to take on such an undertaking for such a big project 🫠

That would've been fun, but these were separately created Birds + data was just "in the air" it seems ;)

Nadieh Bremer @nadiehbremer.com · 12/02/2026
Thank you!! 🤗 I really tried to go all in on the details, but also put in as many small nuggets as I could (e.g. not dataviz, but you can actually hover each of the bird illustrations at the top and see their names appear ;) )

And if you can't get enough of birds + dataviz, then this seems very interesting!

Thank you Will! 😃 It was a lot of fun during the design phase to try and see how many visuals I could make based on birds, nests, eggs or feathers, haha (I did have to reign myself in a bit as some ideas were simply getting too time consuming to create 😅 (with all of them together))

Full of custom, interactive visuals (a giant nest, a giant egg, the US made up of eggs!) to explore people’s experience with birds. It’s full of insights, funny outliers and visuals you can lose yourself in trying to explore all that the vast amount of bird data has to offer.

After several months of analysis, design, drawing, writing, and coding (and a little bit of birdwatching), it turned into a fully dataviz-driven, vibrant, whimsical and fun interactive story for birders and anybody even remotely interested in birds 🦉

📣 NEW! I’ve just released the BIGGEST and perhaps most creative project I’ve ever worked on! “Searching for Birds” searchingforbirds.visualcinnamon.com 🐤 A project, an article, an exploration that dives into the data that connects humans with birds, by looking at how we search for birds.

Progress is being made. An international coalition of national and local governments, philanthropic donors, community leaders, and private sector partners have made incredible progress against these diseases. 58 countries have officially eliminated at least one NTD!

Using a combination of UN and WHO open-source data, alongside data by The END Fund, "Visualizing Neglect" spotlights why missing data tells a story of those most impacted by NTDs. Often women and marginalized groups, some of the most impoverished groups in the world, pay the price for this neglect.
