Why not space out work boats at a spot where #boaters need to moor up at one of the few places left to dispose of rubbish? In the same place a week before, so presumably haven’t moved. Could easily have been moored together & closer to Fradley Junction Lock. Busy this Sunday, so space at a premium!

I can feel a Fishing Match coming on. Strimmer-wielding man in CRT blue, CRT van nearby, not cutting areas long enough for #boaters to moor in. Oh no… but just enough for a man with string on a stick to sit on. T&M near Handsacre. #letitdropincut #ukcanals

Total support for CRT when they make temp repairs that get a lock reopened in a busy place & at busy periods. But the Meccano Mend has made it extra difficult to open *that* problem gate at Autherley Stop Lock. It’s now extra heavy, with metal bits sticking out to gouge the boat. #boaters #ukcanals

Delph has to rank amongst the most beautiful of flights. Not famous like Caen Hill or Foxton or Bingley. No bottle cone to draw the eye. Nothing glam about the name Dudley! Not in Wiki’s list of notable or unique flights. But at the top it feels like the edge of the world. Just gorgeous. #boating
