I'm very loose with it and estimating Instead of really counting calories. But not really eating much rice or bread. Lots of pickled vegetables for snacks. Tacos with low card tortillas. Cajun dishes without the rice.

Just started trying to be conscious of how many calories are in things. And started aiming for 2000 calories a day. It helped me start eating more low calorie foods. Once you get an idea for how many calories things have in general you can figure out how to stretch those 2k calories through the day

Typed up some simple rules and ran a session for some students using DNGN.

Quick Adventure Rules
Character Creation
Roll 3d6 for each of the following traits.
•Strength
•Dexterity
•Wisdom
Roll 1d6+2 for your Health Points
Start with a bag, a weapon, a torch, 2 rations, a bedroll, and 1d6 gold coins. A bag can hold 10 items. You can carry a bag for every 5 points of Strength your character has. All characters can have 1 bag regardless of Strength.
Actions
Roll a d20 under a trait’s score to succeed at uncertain tasks.
Combat
Roll under Strength for melee attacks and under Dexterity for ranged attacks. Roll 1d6 to determine damage on a successful attack. Halve that damage for unarmed attacks. On a failed attack against a hostile target, you take damage equal to the target’s rolled Hit Dice. For example, a failed attack against a 2HD creature means you take 2d6 damage.
Magical weapons give advantage to attack and damage rolls, meaning you roll twice and pick the better roll.
Magic
Characters with a starting wisdom of 15 or more can choose a spell to learn from any referee-approved grimoire. Roll under Wisdom to cast a spell. On a fail, you can’t recast the spell for a day.
Advancement
Spend 1000 gold coins to either raise a trait by 1, add 1d6 to your HP, or learn a new spell. Traits cannot exceed 18.
