I've been watching the 90's Berserk anime and it reminded me how much I like Griffith… he's such a fucking good character 🙏 I've read the manga for about 250 chapters but it's been a few years so this has been a nice refresher! maybe I'll start a re-read from golden age-arc forward when I'm done

Yesss!! and even the fantastical aspect that I hated on the first watch, worked so well into the characters motives!! like how Angier is willing to truly do ANYTHING to best Borden, even break the laws of nature and sacrifice pieces of himself again and again

NEO🔞 Comms CLOSED @n30draws.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

I rewatched The Prestige and spoilers for a 20-year old (💀) film: I remember being really bothered by it mixing in fantastical elements, but now on second watch probably 10+ years later it didn't bother me at all and I REALLY enjoyed the film!! such an amazing story and movie

NEO🔞 Comms CLOSED @n30draws.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

I'm glad you enjoyed it though!! I really hoped I would've liked it, since the books would make great movies, or even better, mini series

110

NEO🔞 Comms CLOSED @n30draws.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

I read some reviews and seems like people who didn't read the book quite enjoyed the film which is nice! but yeah, for me they botched it

110

NEO🔞 Comms CLOSED @n30draws.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

no shade to the actor, he was lovely and all in all the casting in the movie was really good imo. I just think they did the wrong kinda shortcut to simplify the plot of the book

020

NEO🔞 Comms CLOSED @n30draws.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

like Bogdan's supposed to be this morally gray character who gets whatever needs to be done, done, who's very loyal and has a heart of gold and changing him into a poor victim just ain't it 💀 clearly they cast someone to fit this new role too, since he looks nothing like book Bogdan

120

NEO🔞 Comms CLOSED @n30draws.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

the movie was dogshit though and ruined the story of the first book imo…….. like I get that they had to remove some stuff since the plot was convoluted, but just completely changing the character of Bogdan and his involvement in the story ruined it for me

I'm currently reading the second Thursday Murder Club-book and man, these books are just so funny and delightful and just plain enjoyable! also something I wouldn't want to read translated, because the original text adds just so much British charm you can't translate into any other language—

anyway I'm quite artblocked and uninspired atm, so my art hiatus will most likely continue for a while more💦 but don't mind me just randomly popping in to post about media I've consumed, sometimes I just gotta scream into a void about stuff I like

If anyone else here has played Endacopia and wants a similar kind of surreal adventure with horror elements, I really recommend the RPG-maker game Toilet In Wonderland! I've replayed it at least 5 times since it's just so much fun and it's free to play 👁️

NEO🔞 Comms CLOSED @n30draws.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

I'm almost done with my first playthrough of Endacopia and it's such a cool game!!!! Especially as someone who grew up with 90's/early 2000's edutainment PC games the vibes are just immaculate 🙏 I saw someone compare it to Courage The Cowardly Dog and that just sold it to me immediately

I ordered a silicone grip for my apple pencil and wrist braces with a thumb support so I'm really hoping those will help! I'm also like 95% sure I have osteoarthritis in my right thumb…… 30's hitting me hard sheesh

I'm hoping to open my commissions soon! I realized the reason why I haven't felt like drawing is because I know it'll make my wrist hurt _(:3 」∠)_ considering I also use my hands a lot at work, I really need to try to take care of them… so I'm waiting to receive some things to help with ergonomics

I said it before but I'll say it again, you can't be PARTLY anti censorship or PARTLY proship. Either you think people should have the right to draw and write what they want and understand that fiction doesn't affect reality or you don't. So don't give me "But what about-?". What about NOTHING.
