Learning how to draw and illustrate in Procreate. I didn't draw the flower—it's a coloring page from lesson 24 in Freya's Procreate Masterclass. I learned about the Reference feature and painted the flower. 1 - painted in Procreate 2 - HSL, Screen 3 - Multiply #procreateart #mythweaverart

Guys, I’ve been so lazy. Okay, maybe not entirely. I started going through a couple of courses: Freya’s Procreate Masterclass and a beginner’s course on Procreate on 21Draw. I’ll start posting what I accomplish soon. Also, just got over a nasty virus. It. Was. Awful.

I submitted my finals early and am waiting on my last two grades in one of my business classes. Huzzah! Oh, what a journey this has been. I’ve learned so much and come so far. Can’t wait to apply everything I’ve learned to writing & publishing!

This should be my last term of school. Been working hard, still receiving 4.0s. To be honest, I’m burned out. Working on a special project for a class—something I’ll announce soon. Yes, it’s writing related. 😊 And so fun.

I was so nervous about my latest big assignment in my advanced writing class but I nailed it—got a compliment from the grader. Huzzah! *Advanced Writing in Professional Contexts

This term has been crazy! I’m taking an advanced writing in business contexts class along with another business class and another class. The thing I have going for me is that I’m a writer. Otherwise, I don’t know how I’d get everything done. So cheers to writing! 🍾

A few years ago, my birth father disengaged from us—his kids. So sad. Found out last night that he passed away back in February. Keep in touch with those you love. Don’t pull away. Because you are important. You matter.

I’m taking an amazing class as part of my BA in school, and wow, is it expanding my perception. It’s Conflict and Peace and explains so much of why we behave the way we do when in conflict. I realize a lot of my conflicts are self-created & 100% avoidable. Or so I believe. So interesting.

An excerpt from the second chapter in the fantasy serial fiction story, Tangled Fates by M.C. Leavitt. The head monk is questioning a pair of women, one older, and observes the younger woman's reactions, proving the older woman's words a lie. In the next part, Kahli, the woman who was sent to the monastery for her own protection, can't believe the lies the lady's spewing. Then the woman pinched her, setting off the younger woman's temper.

#writingtip #Writers, if you learn a skill but you don’t practice & apply it, you lose it. I’ve taught a few people a few nuances of deep point of view (DPOV), and it advanced their writing. When they stopped practicing & applying it, their writing super regressed. Practice & apply what you learn!

My poor Humanities teacher was so worried concerning our midterm. I thought it was a breeze. I realize why. I’m a writer, a graphic designer, and I’ve always loved the arts. I have a much better grasp on the material than most of my peers. Feeling blessed but also sad my peers are struggling.

Part of meal planning is knowing what more to eat and how to spread things out. In my family, we have some food allergies and issues with dairy, but we're able to plan around those easily enough, for the most part. How do you meal plan?
