Just finished Chapter 1 of Age of Ulstryx. Decided to play on Tragic Hero difficulty, Carved in Stone (no save scumming). And wow do I miss the permanent consequences. A fight went wrong mid-chapter, resulting in everyone getting maimed. Fen died in another fight later on. (adjusted the image)

Xirot and Aran are gathered around a campfire. Both are maimed and slightly aged. Their hair is beginning to grey. Xirot has lost a hand and Aran lost an eye. Xirot also has a blue stone-like growth covering half their face.

Comic text reads: Xirot and Aran enjoyed talking about the old days over a campfire. Xirot would pause sometimes and ask Aran if they had done the best they could. Aran always assured them that they had.

A few things I'm working on for Fire of Rebellion.

Times of Change

At the end of each session, shift the World aspects accordingly for each true statement below.

"We furthered the Rebel Cause." If true, shift Rebellion up.
"We suffered the Empire's advance." If true, shift Empire up.
"We witnessed the Fire bloom." If true, shift Fire up.

A description of Pressure as it functions in Fire of Rebellion and how pressure is tracked by each character.

Included are various triggers where pressure is taken by player characters or pressure is relieved, such as when fire is exchanged, objectives are lost or achieved, setbacks are suffered or obstacles are overcome.

A non-exhaustive catalogue to each question answered when creating the campaign setting. Players are encouraged to pick as many options as apply or to add their own.
