Burnout is clinically understood as a combo of 6 factors—work overload, lack of control, insufficient rewards, breakdown in community, absence of fairness, & value conflicts—and only a fraction of it is under your control. Burnout is a systemic problem, so be kind to yourself and hard on the system.

Has it really been two years? Anyway, I updated my weird vigilante Byleth x angry ghost Dimitri fic. They flirt. Byleth murders a lot of officials. Dimitri eggs her on. True love? archiveofourown.org/works/426949... #Dimileth

Images of a small bunch of violets, a dark stairway, three pears, a blue crystal pendant, and a graveyard. Blood and smoke in the background. Text: The kingdom of Armin has some skeletons in its closet. Byleth is about to find out just how many. Raise the Ghosts of What We Lost, Explicit

toby's advice on spoilers is really applicable to any fandom! that being said i am going offline 🫡

If you're worried about seeing spoilers, try to refrain from using social media or video websites until you have sufficiently completed the game. Due to current media algorithms, if you're a big fan of the game, it's likely spoilers will be recommended to you no matter where you go...
If you use social media, and you know you have followers that don't want to be spoiled, think about how you post what you do.
Nothing I can say will stop people from trying to be the first to show everything off, so please just do your best to protect yourself.

Just be ready. Even before the game comes out in your region, the New Zealanders who get the game three hours earlier are probably gonna come directly to your house and start taping thumbnails of Deltarune Chapters 3+4 All Bosses Compilation to the outside of your windows. (They might already be doing that...)

That being said, please don't rush through the game. Just relax and enjoy it at your own pace. At the very least, I personally recommend taking a break between chapters...!

imho fandom is best experienced as a group of mutuals you think are funny and any sort of clout chasing or trying to appeal to everyone is going to leave you tired and burned out

There's so many awful bills lately & it's scary to make a call to some ominous congress office. 😭 There are ways to make it easier but they can be hard to find. In addition to garden variety anxiety, I have a major speech impediment so I've picked up some tricks over the years, here's what I do 🧵
