It’s really cool that yall like this video I was very nervous about making WoW content again I am SORRY that I say Tyrande’s name wrong all the time, I learned it without hearing it 20+ years ago and even though I’ve heard it fifty million times since I still find myself saying it that was

My tinfoil hat self watching this podcast and trying to figure out if there's a specific reason they put "LFG Ruins of Lordaeron" on their letterboard... (ft. @aggrend.bsky.social ) Something sneaky hidden in there??

An image snippet from the recent WoW Forever podcast that features a letterboard sign in the background spelling out "LFG Ruins of Lordaeron"

Here's my review of Zero Company. Do not sleep on this game. They've made one of the best Star Wars games here, and it's a fantastic addition to the tactics genre. Game is simply, truly, excellent. (ty for watching my videos)

There's lots of problems with the new media landscape but it's kind of cool that it opens up an opportunity where anyone can go in there and try and Do The Thing. Idk. A little optimism on a gloomy monday.

Mykrin @mykrin.com · 24/08/2026

I ever really thought I'd get opps like this for my Star Wars channel - where I'm really just reviewing games for the fun of it and because I love talking about Star Wars! But in a lot of ways, this kind of feels like giving younger Mike a pat on the back and saying "you could have done it, kid."

Soooo... I gave up. Swapped majors to business and went corporate and flash forward 15 years later and you're a Strategy Manager. And that's fine! I like my job. But I always felt a little bad that I abandoned the dream. Content Creation has been my creative outlet for the last few years.

100

Mykrin @mykrin.com · 24/08/2026

But reality started to creep into my mind a bit. The landscape of games journo and games coverage was very different back then. There were very few jobs. It was very hard to break into. And a lot of doubts seeped into my mind about whether or not I'd be able to support a family chasing the dream.

A little bit of story time - my first three years of university (16 years ago now... oofa doofa) were for journalism because all through high school and the start of Uni, I wanted to be in games journalism. I was doing podcasts with folks, tweeting, even got a couple freelance review published!

Mykrin @mykrin.com · 24/08/2026

This is an opportunity I'm very excited about and very grateful for, if you are interested in Zero Company it would be cool if you watch my review Wednesday (on my Star Wars channel) so that companies want to give me more of them :)

I’ve gotten a lot of weird creator emails (a lot of them spam) but this is the first one I’ve ever gotten sent to MY email but addressed to @ssjspeedracer.bsky.social ???????

There’s gotta be a reason though, right? I’m just not clear what it is.

000

Mykrin @mykrin.com · 09/08/2026

I pretty much always think there’s a dev reason for not doing something. But I’m struggling with the bonus roll thing. It being right to never take vault loot from raid feels bad, and it’s (ostensibly) solved by having vault choices also get removed from the bonus pool.

There's a new trend among Gen Z men, attempting to use Kagrenac's Tools to harness the divine spark within the Heart of Lorkhan. They call it "Bagarning", but critics suggest it may lead to the disappearance of the entire human race

It’s time to let Bungie make a Star Wars game. They are literally unparalleled in the shooter genre. There are a million shooter concepts they could explore. Let them have at it. The results could be incredible.
