Landed in a different city for my day job and these alien surroundings remind me that we’re one shitty decision away from a world-ending apocalypse. Please join me on my self-annihilation fantasy.

As an avid enjoyer of early editions of Warhammer 40K, I like to think that the Emperor of Mankind has been dead for thousands of years and is merely a tool. Used by the Lords of Terra to control the imperium. #warhammer #40k

I’ll die on the hill that the best aspects of Akira are the cityscapes. Uneven, disjointed, megalithic titans of concrete and steel. The genius in them is every shot feels like you’re staring straight up from street level - into the nose of god itself. That fractured POV is otherworldly.

Watched The Last House last night. And it’s basically a Lovecraftian post-apocalyptic survival story told through the lens of family drama. As usual, Greta Lee and Wagner Moura were exceptional. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is valid. But I’ll stand by my opinion that the internet got a million times worse with social media.

Welcome back to my late night of sharing ambient music. This one is a particularly sleepy track which will appeal to most sci-fi fans of space operas. It also comes with a nice pixelated video which appeases my 1980s brain. youtu.be/Ufhj6Eqg8kI?...

Tonight I jumped on the website of my LCS and this might be my “old man yells at cloud” moment but literally nothing in the new releases section appealed to me. Now, am I dunking on today’s comic creators? No, you do you. Im just saying that I think I’d rather raid a discount bin of $1 comics.

The first four episodes of X-Men ‘97 Season 2 were great. Incredible, even. However, the rest of the season felt like a series of rushed side-quests. It should’ve been fleshed out over an additional 3 episodes. #xmen

Tonight I had this conversation with someone I hadn’t spoken to in ages, saying he thinks I could do a lot more than in the sales roles I often end up in. I explained to him that I’ve resigned myself to the fact I’ll never be in an arts related or creative job.

I miss the days of advertising in comic books. There’s something so timeless about a “Demolition Man” movie poster in a Spider-Man comic.
