What is the research about? The research is part of a PhD project by an autistic trans researcher exploring:
• Experiences of support and support services, and
• What a good future might look like.

You can take part if you are:
• Living in Scotland,
• Trans (including non-binary genders),
• Autistic (with or without diagnosis), and
• Aged 18 or over.

What would it involve?
A two hour time commitment.
A creative task:
• Choose your own method (e.g. drawing, writing, mind-mapping), and
• Respond to the prompt ‘what does a good life look life?’.
An interview:
• In-person or online, verbal or text-based.
• Talking about the creative task and experiences of support.

No Hormone Access; What Can I Do?
You're not alone. They tried to break us & will try again. You can protect your body-mind & next steps, even when things fall apart.
Just Lost Hormone Access:
You may feel shaky/emotional/sore/off-balance. NOT medical advice: try what may help. Drink lots of water. It helps with aches/hot flashes/mood swings (Mayo Clinic). Daily slow stretches can ease pain & keep moving (Cleveland Clinic). Eat protein, peanut butter/beans/shakes, to stay strong (Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics).
Don't isolate. Text or call someone to feel that bond (NIH/NIMH).
Use What Still Works; Add What's Missing.
While some places close or quiet-quit, not all do! Use telehealth (FOLX, QueerDoc, Plume) if you can.
Join private groups: r/TransDIY, r/asktransgender or mutual aid Discords. Use Signal to limit tracking.
Ask “Does anyone know a safe way to get HRT right now?”
People are organizing and helping, quietly but for real.
You Still Deserve Care.
If you're crying/aching/feel awful, you're not broken. You're reacting to real events.
Tonight try this: Wear clothes that feel like you.
Light a candle or lamp and say your name.
Take a selfie just for you.
Message 1 trans person: “I lost access.” Someone will answer.
Find a photo or memory to remind you of a time you felt strong.
Do 1 tiny task: fold a shirt, wash 1 dish, brush your hair; do anything to say “I'm still here”.
