6. I have so many event things to work on in early 2024 alksdjf it's a little stressful but very fun! There's also a project I'm doing now that I'm having a lot of fun with, and I'd like to do more iterations of it in the future. (being vague because it's a holiday gift for my partner :3)

5. DIALOGUE. I love playing with how characters talk to each other, I love BANTER. Lately I've really enjoyed experimenting with how Akira's silent protagonist bit works in stories where he's forced to communicate - it's a fun challenge to limit my own inclination towards sick ass dialogue hehe

4. I think I can handle both Akira and Goro pretty well by now! I struggled the most in wyab with Haru - it was important to me that she engage with Goro without accepting him outright. I wanted to respect her story while still moving them forward. I rewrote that scene at least three times lol

3. Emotional tension, hands down. I like focusing in on moments where the characters are desperate or angry or excited, or when they're on the verge of those things and they're holding back. Longing especially is SO fun.

2. I only have a couple action scenes in my shuake fics so far, but I actually really love writing them in general (comes from being a dnd player lol). I try to make the action engaging while blending it into the rest of scene so the whole thing doesn't get bogged down in those details.

1. Music definitely helps! I don't generally do extensive outlines, but I do a lot of stream-of-consciousness brainstorming/notes that make me excited to start writing. I also often have a scene I'm dying to get to later in the fic, so I'm motivated to start just so I can get there lol

my personafucking series gets all its titles from Nothing At All by the Foo Fighters. put me back in it comes from Francesca by Hozier... the list goes on. music is a huge writing inspiration for me! I latch onto lyrics and then they inform huge parts of the story lol

and it also kind of amused me how fitting of a song it is for how the story actually plays out. the song is about letting go and moving on, which is very much not what Akira does lol but it IS what Goro needed to do, on a personal level.
