Haven't had this big of a bump in a while. Possibly since I mis-dosed on pumpkin bread last year & my infusion set popped out. Should have done about 9 units up front but chickened out and only did 6.66 as I didn't want to go low. Now I know I definitely wasn't going to at least 😅.

Blood glucose readings between 107 mg/dl and 216 mg/dl. Insulin delivered at 11.1 units with 6.66 units up front & 4.44 units over 4.5 hours. Then correction doses of .5 and 2 units given along with 200% & 250% temporary basals over 4.5 hours. Blood glucose is at 108 mg/dl 4.5 hours later with 1.66 units of insulin on board.

You should be able to just pull back the adhesive.

Omnipod without adhesive with a paperclip sticking out of a small hole in the top. This deactivated the Omnipod.

For those interested in how dinner went with my blood sugar. I am shocked I didn't go higher, but I did pull out a few tricks that I recently learned I could do.

Tandem Tslim x2 phone app showing blood sugar readings after a meal of a salad with homemade ranch, a burger slider with cheese, and 5 mini baguette slices. Total of roughly 50 grams of carbs, 47 grams of protein, and 50 grams of fat. Dosed 6.36 units of extended bolus with 2 units or so upfront with a prebolus of 20 minutes, 25 minutes for the baguette. Added a temp basal of 200% for 30 minutes right after prebolusing and 250% for 1 hour following that. Blood Sugar stayed between 111 mg/dl & 160 mg/dl for the following 4 hour extended bolus. I was asleep for most of this which is highly unusual and I expected my SugarPixel to alert me to a high blood sugar.

Did you get insulin syringes? They should identify the units they are for on them [U-100]. Did you use U-100 based insulin? If the insulin is also U-100 sometimes written 100U], then they work with each other. 1 unit from vial+syringe should align with U-100 pen insulin, which is the most common.

There is also Gvoke Hypopen that looks similar to an epipen [you can also get it in a vial]. Similar places to inject, but no mixing required. More people know Gvoke because of Epipens, same with Basquimi because if Narcan. I prefer having Gvoke personally, but have more Basquimi bc insurance.

Gvoke hypopen box information indicating to remove from bag, take red cap off with needle end before injecting into persons outer thigh, outer upper arm, or lower abdomen. Hold for 5 seconds and turn person on their side.

You can 100% calibrate on the G7 app. You go to history, hit the plus symbol, hit enter blood sugar, and select use as calibration. I hit that instead of use as blood sugar which led to my issue.

Success so far! Seems to have settled.

Continuous Glucose Montior readings indicating a drop from 110 mg/dl to 77 mg/dl and then rebounding to 126 mg/dl trending slightly upwards at the estimated rate of 1-2 mg/dl each minute per Dexcom.

I'm mostly sad that this comment got removed because it was funny. I was responding to someone who didn't know anything about Type 1 diabetes or autoimmune diseases. They were being fatphobic af, but apparently, I was offensive for saying they produced insulin.

A tiktok comment that was removed for community violation for saying, "must be really nice to be sitting there with your functioning beta cells. Perhaps you sold them for your brain cells..."
