In fairness I was also starstruck to see @alicefraser.bsky.social on the panel. Also delighted by my new poster quote, "Not As Famous". (this was such a lovely show to do, @louiseleighcomedy.bsky.social and @yespaulineeyre.bsky.social have made such a gentle, welcoming show)
Audience Reviews for the show "Aaagony Aunts"

"Oh I LOVED this show! The hosts were hilarious - so warm and funny but also proper wise and insightful when they needed to be. Guests were amazing - I was quite starstruck to see Alice Fraser on the panel - and Jonathan Lloyd may not have been as famous but was hilarious too. Just a wonderful warm hug of a silly show."

Sometimes Fringe blurbs have threatening auras.
James Bond has a license to kill. Our international comedians want their license to kill on stage.

When I started out doing standup, my goal was to play @xsmalarkey.com, a brilliant club filled with wonderful people that's meant a lot to me over the years. I promised myself I'd get a tattoo when that happened and, well, about to play it for the third time so long overdue!

This is Edinburgh so far only taking into account shows I'm performing in and friends' shows. This doesn't even include friends' shows I've seen in WIP form. If I make any more friends I may end up needing to do two weeks next year.
Spreadsheet showing planned shows, colour coded based on whether I'm performing or watching. There are two on Sunday, three on Monday, three on Tuesday, four on Thursday, and four on Friday.

I was looking back over the Edinburgh Comedy Award winners and 1. How were there no women on those shortlists for so long and 2. This is the worst set of nominations I've ever seen, good lord. I hope Pappys are okay.

The winner was Brendon Burns - So I Suppose THIS Is Offensive Now

The runner ups were:

Andrew Lawrence – Social Leprosy for Beginners and Improvers
Andrew Maxwell – Waxin'
Tom Binns – Ivan Brackenbury's Hospital Radio Roadshow
Pappy's Fun Club – Pappy's Fun Club

Okay watched it and... Very confused. Creepy, yeah, and the first death I was not a fan of at all, but definitely nothing that couldn't be in a 15. Wikipedia says this and... I'm not sure if "themes involving demonic possession" would be considered enough anymore. Good episode though.
"The Calusari" is the only episode of the series to have received an explicit rating of "18" in the United Kingdom by the BBFC for "occasional strong horror" and themes involving "demonic possession".

This Saturday! Held a rehearsal yesterday and so excited about how the show is going to go. It's such a silly, wonderful time.
Two figures stand looking at each other. On the left is a tall man with a beard. He is wearing a purple cape, a gold horned crown, and a white shirt with the slogan "Choose Love". He is also holding a green guitar.

On the right is a person (me) in white Choose Love shirt and a skirt with musical notation on it. I am also holding a notebook and pen.

My grandfather passed away over the weekend. A phenomenally intelligent man (look at this, one of the research papers he contributed to, what on earth is going on) but also one of the most gentle, loving men I've ever met. I don't have autistic literalism enough that I don't understand jokes, but I do have it enough that it jars when they don't make internal sense. I am the problem.
Screenshot of a Facebook post from three years ago reading:

In "I'm too autistic to enjoy my own special interests" news, I saw a comic do a routine recently where they referenced Yu-Gi-Oh and the crowd didn't really react so they were all "too deep a cut for this audience lol".

I didn't react because the joke they made was about how rare a Blue Eyes White Dragon card was and my brain was too busy going "but that's a card in a starter deck, it's arguably one of the easiest to obtain."

Thanks to personal growth, I have not @'d them about this.

Tughan also spoke in support of Father Ted creator Graham Linehan, whose anti-trans views have made him a pariah in comedy. The venue owner said: "The man has been vindicated a thousand times over. It’s a source of regret, to me at least, that some of his peers in our industry still can’t seem to find the strength to acknowledge any regret for the way he was treated.’

Why does every other new comedy night sound less like comedy and more like they want to make degradation fetish porn instead. "Watch these pathetic little piggies humiliate themselves for your attention and pleasure."
Comedians enter.
Egos wobble.
Crowds decide.

Some will smash it.
Some will spiral.
All of it will be VERY funny.

This isn't a polite little comedy night...
This is competition comedy, high stakes, big laughs, and zero hiding.

Expect:
Proper belly laughs
Unexpected moments
A few beautiful disasters
And a crowd that's fully in charge

If you like your comedy a bit rough round the edges and a lot funnier because of it...
This is your night.

Grab your tickets now before it sells out
(You'll want to say you were at the first one)
