I couldn't find many direct comparisons of trans guys bodies before, during and after pregnancy like this when I was trying, so here. First picture is 3 years on T. Second picture is at 41 weeks pregnant. Third picture is at 8.5 months post-partum, 7.5 months back on T.
First picture is of a white brown-haired shirtless trans man wearing jeans, sitting on a stool with his legs spread. He has top surgery scars and tattoos. Second picture is of him at 41 weeks pregnant, shirtless with a large belly. Third picture is at 8.5 months post-partum, with a mosaic censored baby resting on his hip, showing him shirtless in shorts.

Thankful every day that I was able to get top surgery. They were great boobs, just not great for me. Glad they made me some money on their way out!

WARPED is live on Kickstarter, fundraising until June 1st. Pledge for a copy before then to get yours earlier than anyone else, for a lower price, with a "thank you" page inclusion if you want, then shiver and shudder and get starry-eyed at the stories within. www.kickstarter.com/projects/mxj...
Warped will be a trans+ anthology of horror and sci-fi short stories, spanning the breadth of the genres, from the action-packed to the subtly disturbing. Expect the unexpected. As sci-fi and horror super-fans, we're curating a collection of subversive, genre-bending, wildly original stories, with juicy queer undertones (or indeed overtones) all written by trans+ authors.

Almost all of the contributors to Transactional Intercourse, a trans and intersex sex worker anthology, have sent in their pieces and the editing is well underway! It will soon be complete and anyone who backed via Kickstarter will get it in February (broader publication to happen in April).
"In these relationships, stigma doesn’t announce itself with slurs. It whispers. It hides in well-meaning words - in “I don’t even think of you as trans,” as if that were a kindness, as if my womanhood needed purification from its history.""To be intersex, autistic, and a sex worker in a society that worships normalcy is to live with overlapping hauntings.""Our family wasn’t destroyed by sex work. It was destroyed by hatred of sex workers."

People who do not conform to society's expectations with regards to our sex and gender are either overlooked or made into hypervisible subjects of mockery and hatred, and this is compounded further when we engage in stigmatized labour like sex work. That's why projects like this matter!

There's a diversity of experience that often goes unappreciated - intersex sex workers have their own struggles as well as those which overlap with trans workers', women and men and non-binary people each have their own perspectives, all on top of race and class and disability. Let's hear!
“There’s a lot of complicated dynamics that come with navigating things like having clients who are urologists who are actually the ones doing intersex genital mutilation surgery, but then also wanting to pay intersex people for sex when we’re adults... that’s absolutely one of the things that fucks with my mind the most.”“I have really special memories of being at a national intersex conference and having a few of us sneak out of the sessions to talk about being intersex sex workers outside sitting on the floor, and it was the most seen I’ve ever felt in my life to talk with people who really intimately understood.”“It’s hard to see all the fetishizing of transness behind the scenes contrasted by public hate - on a large scale, or the domestic mistreatment trans women experience from the kinds of cis men who would book with me. But doing SW has given me a lot of confidence in, insight into, and control over my transness.”“I’ve been on low dose T for 4 years but am still cis for pay, shaving off all my body hair and feminizing my voice. I would probably be on higher dose of T if not for still needing to girl mode for work.”

A highlight of the survey - so few people said they wouldn't be friends with a sex worker that the segment saying so was almost too small to see on the pie chart!
A pie chart asking "would you be friends with a sex worker" with 4958 responses. In blue, 78.9% of people are shown to be saying yes, 18.7% in orange confirmed they already are, and a small green slither shows "I'm not sure". The red "no" segment is so tiny it's barely visible.

There are a number of jobs out there with the explicit aim of helping sex workers to find stable employment outside of selling sex. Sometimes they fail in this goal and actually compound our existing struggles, ultimately exploiting us for their own gain. jackviolet.com/2025/08/08/h...

Reading these member reflections and the thoughts of those at Project X genuinely made me tear up. I know I yearned for stories of transmasc sex workers when I started, to feel less alone, and this is a reminder that I did the damn thing and pulled them into a book myself!
A pink background with a light blue crumbled paper over it and an image of a person cast partially in shadow carrying a trans flag obscuring their head. It says "Working Guys challenges traditional views and pushes for different forms of empowerment, shaping a holistic view of what transmasculine sex workers experience. The anthology itself is a form of empowerment. Jack Parker provided a platform for transmasc sex workers to share their unique lived experiences, and an emotional space for other transmascs, sex workers and transmasc sex workers, to feel validated, comforted and loved."A light blue background with pink graph paper at the top. It says:
"Community Member Reflections. Joey, our ex-intern, penned down some thoughts while reading the book as a sex worker herself: 'I felt a lot for many stories that touched on similar themes, even though I'm not transmasc. I'm sure as much as I feel for complicated feelings about 'female' bodies and work personas, there are as many feelings about gender and transition that I don't experience.'"A light blue background with ripped pink graph paper at the bottom. It says:
"Cyrus (he/him) from TransgenderSG adds on about being a transmasc sex worker in Singapore: 'The 'female personas' section really resonated with me. I went into sex work while on HRT, but presenting as a woman. As Jack describes, because I've never been textbook 'feminine', it felt like every client saw right through me. Regardless, being seen as just another 'slut' to use and discard by clients (more often the married vanilla men) worsened my dysphoria in the 6 months I provided these services. I didn't have a good idea of boundaries at that time either. But I can't say I regret it because otherwise, I'd be shore of $8k today."

Among the passages shared, we have @mxdagger.bsky.social 's contribution included here alongside my own, Mister Saul's and the 14th submission by Anonymous!
A medium pink background with a white hand holding scissors in the top right and a white person in a lab coat in the bottom right, with speech bubbles next to each saying:
"Being a trans person already means I get worse medical care, but since I started doing sex work it's gotten so much worse." - Submission 14 by Anonymous.
"... the doctor asked 'If you're selling your body, isn't it prudent to keep everything intact? Surely you'd lose customers if you had this surgery.'" - An appointment at Charing Cross by Mx Dagger.A light blue background with words on pink graph paper. "These experiences highlight a higher barrier for trans people when it comes to obtaining medical support for transition, which can be harmful since they might choose to omit important information when dealing with medical professions to avoid stigmatisation. This stigma around sex work undermines the call for inclusive healthcare practices which respects and addresses the needs of all patients." At the bottom there are two Asian people laying with their heads touching upside-down to each other.A light blue background with a strip of ripped pink graph paper across it and a darker pink ripped paper across the top. There is also a banana with a red condom over the tip in the top right corner. It says "Paying for Top Surgery, One Dick At a Time by Jack Parker, 'I cannot discuss my medical transition without mentioning being a hooker. At every stage, selling sex has been integral to my ability to access transition care.' In Parker's perfectly titled essay, they show us a vital perspective of why transmascs may choose to do sex work, in spite of all the risks and discrimination. Parker also emphasises the necessity of free and accessible transition care."A dark blue piece of ripped paper at the top against a pink background. It says, "While many transmasc sex workers are working to fund their transition care, it is important not to generalise, and acknowledge other lived experiences... Chapter 5: Role Models for Transmasculine People, an anonymous interviewee told Jack Parker; 'I've always had a dominant personality and I like to top. Had no idea people might pay a trans guy for that...' A Practice of Power and Care by Mister Saul 'I don't really do this for the money... I do this because I believe in the power of BDSM.'"

For International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, Project X (a sex worker rights organisation in Singapore) recommends Working Guys: A Transmasculine Sex Worker Anthology! Read it in full here: theprojectx.org/overview-of-...
A patchwork background in trans flag colours with the ProjectX and transsg logos. Across the top are the words "International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia" followed by "Reading Red Beyond Borders:" and the quote "I cannot discuss my medical transition without mentioning being a hooker."A light blue background with a picture of the cover of Working Guys in the top left corner, which is black with the title on it and a red mars/male symbol in the centre where the arrow turns into an umbrella, with two muscular arms photoshopped as coming out of the sides of it. In the bottom right corner is a picture of a stack of books. It says, "In honour of International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), we invite you to delve into Working Guys, a collection of stories by transmasculine sex workers. The stories range from perceptions, media representation, as well as intimate recounts of violence inflicted on trans sex workers."A pink background with red lipstick marks, over which there are two torn out notebook pages with the submissions written on them. They say:
"Only Women Sell Sex by Liam - He told me that he struggled to see me as a man because I sell sex … and I found it hard to see the version of myself that I hid behind for work as anything other than a woman too. What he said to me had spread the sickness and I felt unsure in my identity.
I pretended to be a woman for work, so people saw me as one outside of it too"
and
"Submission 4 by Arc D - When I first started working, I had already come out as non-binary; however, I was still working under the guise of a cis woman... As a woman, you have more options within sex work, even though being pursued as a woman is suffocating."A light blue background with two gold-accented face masks in blue and teal in the top left and a broken mirror in the bottom right. On light pink graph paper it says: "In the anthology, several contributors recount the bittersweet irony of adopting female persons to cater to the demands of the market. This performance, often described as “cis for pay”, often binds trans sex workers to conform to different gendered expectations. When failing to fulfil such expectations, they often experience painful condemnation, some even facing violence. Transmasculine sex workers also struggle with invisibility, made worse by having to appeal to clients who don't understand transmasculinity."

It’s an idea that radical feminists like to throw at us, but it’s also a question I’ve organically had for myself that I think a lot of sex workers struggle with.A portion of clients see sex workers as being akin to very advanced sex toys. They dehumanize us in their minds, treating us as akin to blow up dolls or fleshlights, and get a sense of satisfaction from our objectification. The word no is irritating to these clients, and more often than not they brush it off and cross boundaries into sexual assault if we begin to deny them or refuse certain acts. This kind of abusive client often targets women and thinks of them as being inferior, though there are also those who have sex with men who are effeminate and visibly queer and hate them for that flamboyancy. Violence is enacted against sex workers by these clients in a way many of them would argue was incidental if they could be pushed to admit to the harm at all, because they don’t think of us as people whose feelings matter. When this inconsiderateness doesn’t cross the line into assault, it is due largely to luck that the sex worker isn’t opposed to the acts the client is interested in or the roughness he exhibits.Sex with a man like this comes with a special brand of shame that’s unique to being a hooker – the sinking feeling that we might have validated this behaviour by making ourselves available to him for sex and that we’ve profited from making him worse. It is deeply unfair to suggest that those of us who are being objectified and mistreated should be blamed for the harm abusers go on to do to others, however unfairness is not the enemy of truth. The real antidote to this shame comes with experience selling sex and seeing countless numbers of these men who we learn with time are not so easily swayed. Sex workers are shown over and over that abusive and misogynistic and homophobic men, who are already set in their ways, target sex workers precisely because they’ve already settled into their predatory behaviour and are choosing the easiest targets.

These men are not taught that it’s acceptable to harm women when they pay them for sex, because they already believe it."

Stomach is still in that zone of plausible deniability between beer gut and baby bump, but I've made it to 20 weeks and started to feel kicks! Trans people who can get pregnant should know this is an option. The dysphoria is hard and so is the medical system, but it'll be worth it to meet the baby.
