Should anyone tell Vance that if you "bring in" foreign workers, they become American residents, so how do they undercut themselves?

Quite! Just compare noses: Vance has, what, about half the schnoz that the General had!

Dunno about accuracy, but at the statehouse district level there tends to be more partisanship because there's less scrutiny of the candidates (local news? what's that?)

Hard to see anything but malice, there. The thing that those who haven't experienced this stuff often don't get is how much oxygen the jerks can suck: it's a constant struggle to maintain separation from narcissists.

What a charmer! My dad had his moments, but it's my stepsisters father who's in much the same sort of league as yours! His deal was (is?) classic narcissist, wanting to be picked over his ex wife in everything.

This is the second variety: things that can currently be done using other types of tools (paralegals and other lawyers). And of course you're insisting that "good enough" isn't, because if the pre-Claugpemini brief succeeds anyway, no-one _needed_ to do anything!

I've said this before, but back in the day (mainframes and COBOL) we had two types of workers on every project: system analysts and programmers. The latter could be outsourced...

Releasing stocks of refined diesel is not an economically bad idea when prices are high. And it will help European businesses be (if anything) more competitive than American ones.

One of the social failures in contemporary America is that there are too many police forces. As you note, there's a role for campus disciplinarians, but call them "provosts", and include non-crimes like cheating or walking across special lawns in their responsibilities (for which they need no guns).

Actual reason for the arrest was a missed court date. Unclear if the victim was properly (legally or morally) served notice, and absolutely clear that the interest rate charged by the alleged doctor (and set by him personally) was 18%.

Remember that "woke" is the current iteration of "political correctness", and like that, basically translates to "not treating people like shit". This is, of course, an anathema to many.

For fun contrast, compare the judge's tone at the first conference with these folks (ECF 521, from here www.courtlistener.com/docket/63187...) which is before she's read _all_ the manuscripts, and now, when she's Formed An Opinion on the merits.

Fun fact: your KEF-PDX flight is BA9608, using the same aircraft G-ZBLI. The last time they used that "irregular operations" flight number was Sep 3 on YYZ to LHR, coincidentally using the aircraft.

Guaranteed the crew did, and it's people in London who screwed up (making hotel reservations in the wrong city!) Tonight may be forgivable - finding hotels & support for 256 passengers at little notice ain't easy. But tomorrow there will be staff to support BA801 dep 11am...

they'd have to leave KEF before 5pm-ish (local). The good news is spelled UK/261 (not formally, but everyone calls it that). Each traveller is owed £540, plus any expenses... so have a good breakfast! BA will probably auto-deny your claim, but don't take no for an answer!

Also, the crew disappearing was the right thing to do. They can now get the legally required rest so they can operate the flight on to PDX. You landed at 21:05 local, & today's flight from PDX to LHR has been canceled. In order to arrive at PDX on time to become tomorrow's BA266 PDX-LHR,

"Soil analysis" is very much part of farming! Perhaps not in the test tube & lab sense, but in knowing how much fertilizer to add, what crops will work in which fields this year, etc. Traditionally, an informal seat of the pants process, but it has been part of farming since about 1700!
