It was a great honour to attend the screening of the documentary ANUNFINISHEDJOURNEY at McGill University in Montreal.‌ I deeply appreciate everyone who attended the screening last night. I am grateful for your solidarity with the women of Afghanistan& support to end gender apartheid in Afghanistan.

The major parties are trying to rush through laws that could harm some of our most vulnerable. These changes could see up to 80,000 temporary visa holders or asylum seekers at risk of deportation—despite claims the laws address serious risks. Australia is better than this.

Writing my first #BlueSky post from the Land of Kaurna People, today known as Adelaide. My respect to the First Nations Peoples of this beautiful Land where I was welcomed. As a Hazara from Afghanistan, together we share pain of dispossession, and together we walk. Always Was Always Will Be
I met Aboriginal artists at the Ternanthi Arts Festival in 2015, just a few weeks after I got resettled in Australia. Since my first connection, I say they are Hazaras of Australia, and I am Aboriginal of Afghanistan.
