Just saw a pic of American Spirits and it reminded me of the time Kohi and I got sick from smoking too many. Well I did anyway. 😆 They always made me feel like a coyote and I still miss them a lot. My other fav memory was drinking on my knees from wine bottles duct taped to their paws at Furpoc <3

Four black bean veggie burgers to freeze for later! First go around making them and mostly happy with the recipe. Might play around with binders in the future. Maybe quinoa or oats for some added texture.

Saw Mononoke in theaters last night for the first time. The sound and sights of Miyazaki on such a huge screen were a treat. The score by Hisaishi was tremendous as always. I never fully realized though how many completely silent and contemplative scenes there were until sitting in a huge theater.

Oh and I’m still thinking about this Italian vaguely muffaleta style sandwich I made for the appetizer. Homemade walnut pesto on bottom, gochujang cherry tomato jam on top, fior di latte mozz, prosciutto, pistachio mortadella on ciabatta. Everyone said they wanted a whole one to take home. XD
