Geçen hafta Ankara'daydım; önce Cuma Hacettepe'de Kobit'te, ardından Cumartesi ise ODTÜ'de Uluslararası Işık Günü toplantısında konuşup eski hocalarımla ve genç arkadaşla buluştuk. Ayrılalı 17 sene olmasına rağmen Ankara benim için hala bir ev ❤️

Işığı durdurup, oda sıcaklığında çalışan bir optik hafıza depolayıp, sonra bunu fiziksel olarak taşıdığımız yeni deneysel işimiz arxiv'da ⬇️ Depolanan ışığı ne kadar taşıdığımızı ise interferometri ile ölçtük ve bunun da bir hız sensörü olarak kullanılabileceğini de gösterdik ⚛️

Our latest experimental results are now online! ⚛️ We've translated stored optical pulses by more than an optical wavelength using a room-temperature memory. Using interferometry, we precisely measured this displacement - enabling its use as a velocimeter. 📏 Check it out: arxiv.org/abs/2505.02774
