We had a wonderful time at yesterday’s October Fun Fest in Boxford, hosted by Community Giving Tree. The food trucks and the music were fantastic, but of course I spent most of my time with the animals 😂 Just too cute!

After that, the team and I met up at Andover’s RevFest, celebrating 250 years of the nation we call home. The organizers did a fantastic job, and everyone I talked to had a great time meeting the colonial artisans, visiting the reimagined “Abbot Tavern”, and watching Andover’s first ever drone show!

It’s been a busy weekend already! Yesterday, I kicked off the morning with a hike to Lake Cochichewick to assist with North Andover DPU’s clean-up efforts along the shoreline, and then I headed over to the historic Parson Barnard House for a tour led by the house’s knowledgeable caretaker, David.

I noticed a common thread - it’s not enough for a candidate to simply say they want change. We have to go further. We have to be able to articulate exactly what kind of change we want to make and we must be ready to come into office with a clear and realistic plan to get it done.

We spotted a green heron, a red-breasted woodpecker, and more, and I learned so much about our flying friends that grace the 18th Essex. We then had the honor of sitting with MVBC matriarch Evelyn Retelle, wife of the late Al Retelle who is the namesake of this beautiful property.
