European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 13hI’m in a different time zone to you. Your American level education is showing again. And as ever, your comment makes no sense. Enjoy your shit heap of a country, don’t forget to tune in for the execution. 000
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 12/10/2026If you can’t see the difference between the states, which has one President and Europe which has 48 equivalents, there really is no hope for you and you deserve your fate. Education is most definitely illegal in America. 100
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Unlike yourselves, we study world geography. 000
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 11/10/2026So you’re only allowed to protest in one place? Typical American, always putting effort into excuses rather than action. If you all just stopped work for 3 days, the billionaires would sort Trump out, but nah, just complain on social media instead. 100
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 11/10/2026You’re going to need more than a vote to finish this clown. 000
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 11/10/2026It was entirely possible to eliminate gas in this town. 000
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I live in Spain 4-5 months a year, the place confuses me. In the town I live in, gas mains were laid three years ago, the first time gas has been in the town, people who are used to heat pumps moved from electric water heating to gas. Spain imports almost all its fossils, but has ‘unlimited’ elec. 111
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 10/10/2026A lot of the people who are so upset never owned a Jag, will never own a Jag and can’t afford a Jag. 120
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Is there a way we can check actual output for the past day? 100
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Americans will still do nothing, what’s wrong with you? 030
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 05/10/2026It’s sweet that you all believe that the midterms will happen, and will mean anything. 000
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Having worked in the mobile industry, I have literally been in meetings where councillors have shouted at us because the mobile phone coverage is crap in their town and then say nothing when we pushed 23 rejected mobile infrastructure planning applications across the desk, that they declined. 110
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 05/10/2026This highlights both the solution and the problem. “Where are all the upgrades?” Scream the people, well they are stuck behind a 2 year public consultation on a substation. 230
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Yet people still vote for them, people still go to work and make the billionaires richer. France would have burned to the ground long before this. 000
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Indeed, we are hiding 2.2 million EVs somewhere 110
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 02/10/2026The SMMT are a disgrace, every month EV sales grow, every months the SMMT analysis tries to cast doubt on EVs. 020
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Electrification hugely reduces primary energy usage, even at domestic level. 000
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 02/10/2026My solar panel push out 5000kWh a year in Northern Europe on a small roof, helping reduce the use of electricity. 100
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Past 12 months of driving EVs have been 20,000 miles. A diesel vehicle achieving 35mpg was replaced by the energy equivalent of 147mpg in my similar size EV van, meaning the equivalent of 435 gallons of diesel not burned. 100
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Electrification reduces my annual overall energy demand. Past 12 months heating via my heat pump, 4000kWh at a measured SCOP of 4 means that 20,000kWh of gas not burned (boiler 80% efficient) 100
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 02/10/2026The Lancet Planetary Health reported this year that for every 200 EVs registered in a “neighbourhood” the NO2 levels dropped 1.1% whilst for every 200 ICE cars NO2 increased. NO2 causes breathing difficulties. In September 2026 the UK registered 99,000 new EVs. Some hope on the horizon. 031
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 02/10/2026All cars a good when they are new! I’ll wait until the 3 year reviews are in. My two VW ID cars will do for now. 010
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I’m visiting my parents in “Grumpy old git” territory this week, but saw 2 Tesla’s and 2 BYD seals in a row. The seal looks nice, but I don’t know its quality level yet. 110
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 02/10/2026When the organisation that is paid to collate figures remains anti-EV, it’s time to change that organisation. 010
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 02/10/2026UK September car sales, a pure EV was sold every 12 seconds, almost 100,000 cars, but the SMMT “analysis” still points to being cynical about EVs, stating that they have missed targets, when they know full well that this years 33% target has allowances for PHEVs and reduced ICE emissions. 130

European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 30/09/2026The prototype isn’t even finished yet but the ICE suckers are already complaining that it’s too slow, too heavy and can’t do 3000 miles per charge. 010
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026You are right, the budget doesn’t currently exist to do this. You are also correct that Gov funding can be cheaper interest and also doesn’t need profit built in, so infrastructure DCF can be 2-4% rather than 4-8%. 100
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Time of use will become more important, the grid is quiet during the night even with over 2.2 million EVs on the road, but electric heating brings its own challenges. Personally I use a large home battery and a heat pump tariff. 010
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Most of it can be, lands in Yorkshire 000
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Unless the grid is entirely ready for renewables, it’s likely that some thermal power is needed for grid services such as reactive power or frequency regulation. 020
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 27/09/2026And don’t donate to the RNLI either 😜 000
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 26/09/2026With Ionity, it can be cheaper overall to buy a 1 month membership for~£11, and get the price reduced from 90p kWh down to 46p kWh. 010
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 25/09/2026You need to shop wisely when rapid charging. For example at 8pm Instavolt via your debit card is 92p kWh, via their app at the same time is 55p. 110
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Mine runs on coffee and cake, the fuelling of bikes is very flexible. 100
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 25/09/2026They have them on 3 year leases, I don’t know what their renewal price will be next time. But when you are the NHS and wander into a leasing agency, starting the conversation with “we have over 1 million staff, what can you do for us with a lease scheme”, you may get good results. 010
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 25/09/2026A simple £10 a month subscription brings the price of rapid charging down to 46p Ionity, ~45p Tesla, ~50p BE.EV, or alternatively go to Instavolt after 8pm for 55p with no subscription. If you are paying what you say you are paying, it’s by choice. 010
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Two of my neighbours are NHS nurses, they drive company cars leased through the NHS scheme, believe me the low price they get almost made me cry. They have an ID.5 at 10,000 miles per year for £230 a month. 110
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 25/09/2026That colour hurts my eyes on a French car 100
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 25/09/2026So why are you complaining that you can’t afford a new car? 100
European Bob 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 @muppetkeeper.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Is that limited by the car or the charger? Ionity have both 400kW and 600kW units out there too. 100
