Anyway, sometimes fandom stuff happens and I just remember instances like that and remind myself that it is so easy to take things far too personally when it just ain't that deep. Don't gotta like my pov or even me, but good grief xD

Hannah @mumblingelf.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Beyond the point of them telling me they were "shaking they were so uncomfortable"...alright...and deciding that *I* needed to block *them* like bud xD THAT'S ON YOU. Lol All because I don't vibe with the kinda character it is. It ain't that deep lmao.

I got a whole lecture about being an awful person and how if I didn't like their favorite character then I shouldn't be on their page supporting their craft and skill-work because the character was more important than my love of their skill in their craft. Still baffles me.

Hannah @mumblingelf.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Fandoms get real funny sometimes, but my favorite personal moment will always be when I complained about a character, but didn't want to name them knowing how many like said character, and someone guessed the character correctly, then proceeded to demand *I Block Them* so they wouldn't see me. ._.

CHONKS. BIG BOIS. HEFTY 20'S. Our chonks are 35mm wide and feel so very good to roll, landing with a nice big thud. This is all the new oversized D20 dice you'll find on Roll Gothica 🩸

Jodie is sitting crossed legged on a fallen log in a forest, text over the image reads "I'm Jodie; & Here's some chonky d20's I've made:"

An oversized handmade jesmonite D20 dice; the d20 is black with colourshifting glitter on the high face and black numbers.

An oversized handmade jesmonite D20 dice; the d20 is black with green and copper foiling on the high face. The high number 20 is inked in black and the rest of the numbers are inked in metallic copper.

And no, being in the vicinity of AI isn't using it either. 'They used tools that have AI features' is not a slam dunk. You're reading/posting on Bluesky right now, which is a vibe-coded mess. Sometimes you'll just have to let stuff slide, not knowing one way or another. Deal with that discomfort.

Saying it for maybe the 50th time: Do not accuse someone of using AI unless you have ABSOLUTELY AIRTIGHT proof, because if not, you're just adding to the paranoia and causing stress for hard-working artists. And yes, going onto social media and going 'Hrrm, I've no proof, but...' is an accusation.

"Maker spit on you. I deserved more." The Dragon Age subreddit reminded me that Tim Curry voiced Rendon Howe. </3 Definitely a villain I love to hate, his resent and spite were so palpable.

Painterly bust illustration of a middle-aged man with a short parted sideways gray hair. He has a scar on the upper lip, wears brown leather armor, and the background is also brown. He's frowning while looking at the right of the POV.

Seeing the first accusation of "There's too much music" as if composers don't have decades worth of personal libraries built up the same as we have of references, thumb nails, selfies, sketches, wips that can be refined or reused for something else, etc... I hate what genAI has done.

030

Hannah @mumblingelf.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

What's heartbreaking about this is that composers have a much more difficult time being discovered because it takes far more time to listen to their art than it does for others to look at our visual art, unless they choose to see the finer details.

I'm not going to tag Ursula in this (though she's welcome to reply) because my thread isn't going to be about the Astarion book or if BG3 is a "horny" game or any of that nonsense. Instead, this is about the online demands for the perfect rape victim in fiction. (thread)

Just chiming in on this. Astarion is very much loved by people bc of this trauma and SA survival. Reducing the audience to just horny poeple and its a horny game comes across as a bit disrespectful. Why did you make it smutty during a time when he was gtting SD'd like A LOT?

Ursula: the book also covers large chunks of his youth.

reply: while you ask us to give the book a chance, some current reviews raise concerns about asterion being out of character, esp the choice to give him intimate moments during a period when he's heavily affected by SA. I'd genuinely like to understand why.

As anyone in publishing will tell you, women do not resist reading books by men, but men will often dismiss books by women. This is not a publishing problem or a failure to target men. It's a misogyny problem.

I have no clue why it was on that slide or who put it there, and every member of the crew I worked with is 100% against AI. Every aspect of the animation is handcrafted by real artists and I hope that people don’t use this slide as a reason to detract from how much love and labor went into the film.

It’s worth noting that Taco Bell identified the source before the FDA did, and promptly pulled it from their stores. The FDA didn’t even name the source until Taylor Farms outed themselves, and hasn’t issued a recall. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA.
