ENIAC-heika for ENIAC 80th Birthday~~ Full description & notes on references in alt text. #os-tan #gijinka #personification

Personification of the ENIAC computer. She is represented as a medium-skintone doll or automaton-like woman with red eyes, black rolled hair, a veiled black hat, black gown with white trim, laying on a checkerboard tile floor. She lifts the veil revealing her face. Wires run from her arms, forming into branch-like structures behind her, "leafed" with vacuum tubes glowing soft pink. This represents ENIAC's place as the root in the "family tree" of computers.

Radiating around her are artillery firing table papers, playing cards and 90mm shells, representing ENIAC's role in artillery calculations for the M1 cannon, and its role in the development of the Monte Carlo method.

Closeup of ENIAC-tan's face cropped from the previous picture. She has a pleasant, knowing expression.

ENYAC~ Pre-gaming ENIAC's 80th anniversary with something silly I've wanted to draw for a bit. Instead of the cable plugging into her back it's a tail. :3 (I'll be back on the 15th with a full art piece for the anniversary proper!) #os-tan #gijinka #personification #computeroc

A chibi personification of the ENIAC computer. She is depicted as a woman with black hair, medium skintone and red eyes wearing a long black dress with white accents. She's depicted here with cat ears and a tail that ends with an archaic-looking computer plug. Her hands form a heart shape with a pink heart in the middle. The background is pink and features stylized vacuum tube pattern.

Happy 2026, from computers & OSes with significant anniversaries this year! ENIAC: 80 years old Bendix G-15: 70 y.o. DOS/360 & OS/360: 60 y.o. Cray 1: 50 y.o. And Multics (60 y.o. as of 2025) as Father Time(sharing), ushering out the old year. . . #os-tan #gijinka #personification #computeroc

A sketch page with various computer & OS personifications in New Years Eve attire. From left to right:
Multics-tan, depicted as a light skinned woman with long purple hair, a white toga, scythe and hourglass, with "goodbye 2025", invoking the image of "father time".

DOS/360 and OS/360, two top-heavy, pale skinned women with gray and black hair in midcentury blue and red dresses respectively, on the arms of ENIAC-tan, a medium-skintone woman with black curly hair, gold "26" sunglasses, and a black tuxedo-style dress.

Bendix G-15, a short pale skinned woman with black and gray hair, gray dog ears and tail, excitedly stands on her toes while embracing Cray 1, a very tall, pale skinned woman with blue hair and a multicolor dress. As the clock hits midnight, she kisses Bendix G-15 on the cheek.

DOS/360, OS/360, ENIAC, G-15 and Cray 1 have sashes with the year of their "birth": 1966, 1946, 1956 and 1976 respectively.

Whirlwind wishes you the happiest of holiday seasons! But you better be good! Unless you want one of her failed electrostatic memory tubes in your stocking... #os-tan #gijinka #personification

A card in a flat, mid-century cartoonish style reads "Happy Holidays from our memory address to yours". Wreathed in pine boughs and paper tape ribbons stands the anthropomorphic depiction of the Whirlwind computer, presented as a light skinned, black haired woman in horn rim spectacles, a red dress with fluffy white trim, and a santa hat. Behind her rests a variety of wrapped boxes and gifts, including SAGE in ragdoll form, a toy F-94 Starfire, a ragdoll of PDP-1, a plushie beaver, and a lightgun.

A card in flat, mid-century cartoonish style. At the top left, the anthropomorphic depiction of the Whirlwind computer is dressed in a santa hat and festive gown. Smiling, she holds a plane of core memory in one hand, and a gift sack in the other. Text reads "Good boys & girls get core memory!"

In the opposite corner, Whirlwind holds an MIT electrostatic memory tube, a devious look on her face as she holds it above a christmas stocking. Text reads "Naughty children will find a tube in their stocking"

last week i remembered that macOS lets you set your own icons and that *I* have the power to delegitimize the professionalism of the software that runs on my machine, so here's a thread of the 16 new icons i've made so far i really forgot how fun it was to just sit down and make art for myself :')

comparison between apple's finder icon and mine. apple's is the split blue and white smiley face, mine is two blue and white anime girls making out

comparison between discord's icon and mine. mine is like a screaming cat on a blue/purple slimy background

comparison between celsys's clip studio paint icon and mine. mine is similar but rotated with some comic styling and pink and blue highlights

comparison between mozilla's firefox icon and mine. mine is similar but looks closer to the old firefox icon and brings back the little arm and gives the fox a cute little smiley face

for some reason back in 2017, I decided to make a website to make fake video game screenshots. This was a good idea and made a lot of people laugh. Here's to the Death Generator, eight years and 270ish games later! deathgenerator.com

A screenshot of a twitter post by @foone on October 26th, 2017.
She posts "PQ2 death generator is live! make ol' Jim Walls say whatever you want."

with a link to the site, and an included image:
It's the death dialogbox from the Sierra adventure game Police Quest 2. It shows Jim Walls, a retired police officer, as a portrait on the left. The titlebar says "Jim shakes his head and says..." and there's "Restore", "Restart", "Quit" buttons.
The text has been edited to read:
"YOU CAN MAKE ME SAY THINGS
ANYTHING YOU WANT

i miss sierra games :("
