It’s Mountain Monday! There is a bit of a chill in the Chicago air this morning, reminding us of cooler temps and autumn‘s arrival. While not quite mountains, this pic taken several years ago on Lake Superior reminds me of the beauty of fall. Trees changing color, cloudy conditions, and peace❤️.

Grand Teton is my second favorite national park I’ve ever visited. Truly spectacular and the views while hiking were so majestic. Didn’t visit any hot springs though. Perhaps next time!

The Pipiwai Trial at Haleakala National Park on the island of Maui is definitely a contender. Starts by the ocean, follows a stream past a banyan tree and thru a bamboo forest and gets you to this valley with the gorgeous Waimoku Falls in front 😍. Relatively popular for a reason! Enjoy!

Please leave wildlife wild. It’s great to see animals on our trails from a safe distance. We need to respect them and not teach them to view humans as a food source, whether tiny chipmunks or large bears. This is awful😭

This sweetie doesn’t like guests. 3 things really help… 1. Having her meet guests outside then coming inside together. 2. Having guests completely ignore her when they arrive (no hands out, no treats, nothing). It lets her set terms for meeting. 3. Having guests sit down. Seated = less threatening

Went to Lake Geneva in Wisconsin this weekend with my dog for an afternoon away. It was a gorgeous day on the lake and lots of people were out enjoying it too. Should have brought my bathing suit so I could jump into the cool water! And love the seagull laying claim to the dock😂.

Love ❤️ Sliquid (especially their “Sea” variety) for regular use and Sutil Pure as something thicker that lasts in dry areas. Both are glycerin free! I prefer water based lubes because I don’t like the feeling of silicone lube on my fingers. Never tried Cisco due to potential damage to latex items.

Alexis is taking care of her health today and getting the Gardasil HPV vaccine as an adult😍. I‘ve also had my rounds of Gardasil as an adult. It’s a great way to help reduce the risk of HPV related cancers in later life, and I encourage everyone to talk with their doctor about it. Be 🔥 like Alexis!

It’s Mountain Monday! Today’s view is from the Rock Creek Vista in the Beartooth Highway that runs from Red Lodge, Montana to Yellowstone National Park. Personally, the first season of The Bear was a lot chaotic and gave me, the viewer, anxiety. The second season and on was much better and more interesting. I’m glad I stuck with it. Great show! Plus, Chicago is featured extensively in the show. ❤️ my city!!
