Would make sense to tap into some of her other areas of expertise. Plus she'll make way more money from it than she ever would from the Guardian

Bluesky is where we put media gossip right? A few weeks ago everybody was wondering what Marina Hyde's next steps were. Her website marinahyde.com teases a new project. Join the mailing list & the confirmation email is Goalhanger branded. So: a sister project, then. A more general interest podcast?

Major recording artists could have come out and said "we will no longer play Robert Kraft venues". They could help ensure Kraft is the one that suffers the most financial and reputational damage. They're not. Maybe... Ed Sheeran is far from the only coward musician?

It's finally happened: the improved quality of machine transcription and the greater ability to extract value from unlabelled data means "your tech is eavesdropping on you for marketing purposes" has crossed from "false conspiracy theory" to "true and concerning" www.theverge.com/tech/991190/...

assume there was no wildfire alert in Edinburgh because it’s been pissing it down although it could also be because 5G has apparently been revoked here

Amazing show, but borderline worried this description might put off some of the comedy crowd

It'd be accusing years of panels of pretty low levels of discernment to suggest they don't 'get' him. For me, some years he's been good enough to be in the mix, some years he hasn't

Programming seemed to lean quite cabaret as well? Never saw the old iteration of the venue! Would be interesting to look back at all those new theatres - I recall you did a piece profiling them all. Wish there was as much impetus to open medium-sized music venues

This is sad - fantastic building. Always got the impression they didn't have the marketing firepower to sell their Fringe-y programme, and never seemed to attract the big names that would sell out the venue without the need for any marketing www.chortle.co.uk/news/2026/07...

Criticising a light entertainment TV show for being "unnecessary" seems harsh. Are you arguing the genre shouldn't exist? Seems decent to me. Format seems good, returning cast great. A majority female lineup for ep 1, too. Which is, well, a necessary corrective www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio...

Unacceptable review – do we really need to hear these comedians’ horrible views?
This new panel show from Romesh Ranganathan’s production company features comics airing their worst opinions – and it feels completely unnecessary

Really enjoying this series of Mock the Week but god, recording on a Tuesday and broadcasting on a Sunday means they're missing one hell of a lot of news. Burnham and Makerfield were entirely glossed over last night 😶

These are dates crew are required for the next couple of Traitors series, as revealed by job adverts. Other pic: a large gap in James Acaster's otherwise packed touring schedule. Deduct a couple of days from the start & end for rigging etc, and: Acaster seems likely to be doing Celebrity Traitors
