We received a new EXO2 multiparameter sonde with sensors for temp., salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, chl-a and FDOM. It will be used for studies of marine particle dynamics and submarine springs - among other things. A new addition to the @finmari-ri.bsky.social research infrastructure!

Hyvää geodiversiteettipäivää! Maiseman elottomat osat ovat tuntemamme ja arvostamamme luonnon perusta, vaikka ne ovatkin usein piilossa katseilta. Kauniin maiseman lisäksi ne antavat raaka-aineita, vaikuttavat veden laatuun, hiilen kiertoon ja ovat välttämättömiä hyvinvoiville ekosysteemeille.

Join us for a full-day seminar exploring the role of particle dynamics and the biological pump in coastal environments. We welcome researchers, students and professionals from science, government and industry.
