But is it really true? I am so so so terrified to believe this. I’m scared to death of getting my hopes up that any sense of normalcy and decorum and decency can return. I’m almost 53. It is hard to put aside my cynicism. I’m so frustrated.

And @ronanfarrow.bsky.social note too that companies self insure to limit responsibility for mistakes in court. The parent company makes more from the facility that limits care despite fatal mistakes because lack of insurance limits payout. Then file bankruptcy and move on.
