Cool, that makes sense 😀. I’ll see if there’s an opportunity to try it Codegarden week 👍🏻

Never tried it, but I’m interested in how’s it compare to the Scottish equivalents?

Same at Waterloo Station, I only jump on a scooter when I’ve not got much time to get a train. If the drop off area is considered full, you can’t end the ride. I left it in the parking area, paused it, and walked away. It got ended automatically about 20 mins later when I was on the train home

That’s happened to me the last few times in London and then in Bristol I finished the ride early where I could see a place to park and walked the rest, just to be safe. Getting to the point that it’s just doesn’t save much time. 🙄😀

Email from Amazon: “Please tell us about your experience”, the “Not at all likely” option, which when tapped, does absolutely nothing, was a nice touch 👌🏻

People say AI is the future, well it looks like it lives there, our future is AI's past. I was just about to prepare any downloads for Friday's Umbraco 17 developer day so I Googled for info, and the AI overview is talking about it as if it has already happened, in two days time... #umbraco #ai

Honoured to be part of the first #umbraco MVP summit. A really fantastic event with many opportunities to share knowledge and learn. Thanks to everyone involved at HQ for organising it

Thanks @umbraco for fixing the invisible modal bug for Safari in v15.3.0. I’d keep forgetting and then have to switch to Chrome part way through working in the back office. My normal workflow in 15 has been restored, thanks!

Lots of renewals penalise repeat business with a higher rate than new contracts. I have never understood that, it always used to be the reverse, to reward repeat business

Sadly, the reader has to become the sanity checker, with anything AI generated. There are no checks and balances. The more content that is published unchecked the more low quality data AI will index and feed back into its models. Will we just end up with a sort of fact to fiction entropy?

So I’ve updated my Bluesky account to use my mttblss.uk domain, moved mastodon server to the #umbraco community one and linked my blog for authentication, if everyone is reading this post then I might have Openvibe all configured correctly too…

This is so cool! As a photographer their have been so many times I’ve been doing the lens change juggling act clamping a lens between my arm and body. As a wanna be astronaut, I’m just a little envious of the whole thing. #photography #space #nasa. news.sky.com/story/flatplan-13292245

This week I wanted to move 1.5TB of data from an 8 year old NAS to a new SSD drive. Turns out it was quicker to download my online backup of the same data than it was to copy from the NAS by a factor of about 2.5. Data speeds, both disk and network, have changed enormously in that time!

TIL that Code Garden has been outside of Denmark! I started using Umbraco in 2009 and went to my first Code Garden in 2013, so Chicago was before my time. When was it in the UK?

I might be a little to late to the conversation, but here goes anyway. I’ve used or recommended contentment in many projects usually for its awesome pickers using external (to core Umbraco) data sources. I’ve never used the block features. So a +1 vote from me on a quicker release without blocks!

Dynamic ‘cropping’ of variable aspect-ratio banners, content managed in #umbraco… mattbliss.uk/articles/variable-aspe… @umb.fyi tips

Banners using a CSS background image are a common web design feature. Often the container for those banner images will vary in aspect-ratio depending on the device or browser window size they are viewed with. The image is, in effect, dynamically cropped to fill the container. How can we improve on this dynamic cropping?
