I am looking for a few Foils this weekend but weirdly the most important is this. If you have or see this please think of me. (Specifically this art btw)

Good morning! I wanted to share with you a Bert Approved card. Today it's this little gem. It hits like a Swiss army knife and adds a very cool mechanic to the game. Definitely try it out.

Picked up a bit of spice since I am feeling the magic bug again

This weekend is a heavy one for me. So to distract from that I made a bunch of goals in old-school runescape for my iron man. Do you have any goals irl or in games?

020

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 06/05/2025

Ever see a card and wonder why you took it apart? Definitely going to enjoy rebuilding this one.

The first Sunday of the month is going to be set aside for a Bert's Deck Review stream and ask myself questions about the decks Performace and Bracket level and other things you need to know. If you need to know how to analyze your deck this is the stream for you. Live @ Twitch.tv/MTGBert

Life has been going well. So much so that I have been able to be there for people in a capacity that I wasn't able to this time last year.

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 19/04/2025

Today's @edhrec.com Commander of the day is pretty new on the block but is definitely a solid card. Temur has some amazing artifacts and energy synergies so much so that I will brew this commander. What do you think of her!?

130

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 17/04/2025

Judge me based on my commanders!

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 16/04/2025

So my new coworker at the LGS wants to get into magic. I am taking it upon myself to build him an EDH deck. He played a Lathril deck and said "Tokens and Buffing them is pretty cool." I think I am going to build him this commander on a 100$ Budget to get started! What do you think?

060

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 15/04/2025

Hello friends. I have an idea! My next video is going to be about these! Instant Magic Collection is something my LGS does to give new players a good start, and I want to prove how good of a start it is. I will take these two kits and make two commander decks when I am done. Hope yall are ready!!!

Gosh what a fun game with My friend Micah , @steelcitysteph.bsky.social , and @steelcitybrad.bsky.social. Shout out to @tryingcasualgames.bsky.social for the raid and a big thanks to everyone who stopped through. Eshki is a real magic card and I will continue to fine tune her!

Good Afternoon friends! Look at this amazing pod I have for tomorrow! @steelcitysteph.bsky.social and @steelcitybrad.bsky.social have joined me along side a personal friend who is new to spelltable but a veteran to Magic. Come see how this game shakes out tomorrow at 7pm CST!

@edhrec.com Commander of the day used to give me nightmares! I remember being in awe at the power of cascade, but now I just see it as a haste enabling value piece. Definitely an A though as it's so much value for 8 mana. What do yall think about this card these days?

230

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 08/04/2025

Thinking of building my first Colorless deck and this really speaks to me. Has anyone brewed this? Has anyone played against it? Tell me your thoughts!

040

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 08/04/2025

Today's @edhrec.com Commander of the day is a neat one! I think you are trying to get the disturbed side as soon as possible. While investigating is powerful, once per turn hurts alot after jumping through a hoop. This Commander gets a C . If you have this deck show me a list!

020

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 07/04/2025

Commander of the Day on @edhrec.com is one of my favorite gruul cards. Like this deck is so fun. Some people call to budget Xenagos. I call it *redundancy*. Definitely gets an A from Bert.

2241

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 06/04/2025

Commander of the day is a doozy. This card is expensive mana wise but a house on the battle feel and we all know mana value in green is just a suggestion. Jokes aside i like this card in the command zone and definitely give it an A. Power and impactful just what I love to see.

030

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 03/04/2025

There is a Commander of the Day feature on EDHREC and I am taking it upon myself to tell you what I think about each of them for as long as I can remember. So Today we have Lier. This card is pretty sweet but only has a little over 900 decks. I feel this is strong but limited in what it can do 1/x

130

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 31/03/2025

Inspiration struck me for my Simulacrum Synthesizer deck last night. What if we could just make more! So I went with Urza Prince of Kroog. Have you seen or played this deck? Tell me your experience!

Got some hot pick ups from the shop! What cards have you picked up lately?

Another day, another #MTGTarkir card i am excited to try. I have been big on this card since I first saw it. Where do you think this card fits? I am thinking of playing it in my Narset, enlightened exile deck! #MTGAmbassador

110

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 27/03/2025

Hello and good morning! I am here yet again to show you another card i am excited about from #MTGTarkir. I already love Thirst for knowledge and Winternight Stories is a good imitation of that. How do you all feel about this card? What decks are you putting it in?

4173

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 25/03/2025

Cards I am excited to play #MTGTarkir edition. Starting off with this gem of an uncommon. In some decks sacrificing a creature is a privilege and with the outcome of giving your board indestructible and a +1/+1 counter you can gain so much from this spell. What do you think?

250

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 20/03/2025

I am super excited to tell you all that I have been selected to be an #MTGAmbassador for the set of Tarkir Dragonstorm. Excited to bring some new outlooks and viewpoints for the set. Look forward to my content for the coming days.

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 24/02/2025

I love this commander and I won't shut up about it. For years I have been playing a Tymna/Ikra deck that focuses on life gain and life loss. Having a commander that cares about that makes me so happy.

140

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 24/02/2025

Well I woke up from my sleep but let me tell you MagicCon Chicago was a pleasure. Good food and greater friends I am excited to have been able to make it. Being here in a creator capacity was just the cherry on top. Love you all and see you next time!

Relaxing in the room with some runescape. AMA lol

Precon Mishra seems okay for this. Access to tutors and has gameplay outside of my main gameplay. Hmm let's brew up a list.

010

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 16/02/2025

I love 6 mana commanders lately apparently.

110

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 16/02/2025

So I bought The Omo Precon and cannot for the life of me figure out what to do with it?! Tell me some directions you would take this commander.

230

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

Shout out to the @spikefeeders.com for inspiring this Mendicant Core deck that i am building. I think it's taking the place of Arna. More focused which makes room for more optimization and tinkering on my part. I am super excited.

061

MTGBert @mtgbert.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

This might be myself new favorite deck. I already have Faldorn but this feels different. I believe i will have two versions a budget and non budget.
