Young girl dressed as St Lucy, circa 1982. The candles on the crown were lit when she walked into the school hall but now she’s sat in front of the stage, looking a bit shellshocked from the experience.

Another excellent read from @northernmailman.bsky.social @incendiarybooks.bsky.social Well-plotted, with wry humour, gentle nods to his first novel and the Greater Manchester area again playing a key supporting character. Highly recommend!

This is who runs this account

Girl aged 7 being St Lucia in an early 1980s primary school nativity production. She is wearing a white polyester satin robe with a red sash and is holding a plate of biscuits. On her head is a tinsel and wire crown with four just-extinguished red candles.

31 years since I last saw Steve Coogan on stage. Worth the wait. The whole production and cast of Dr Strangelove is brilliant.
