If the past 10 years have taught us anything, it's that supporting racism and fascism absolutely should end relationships. If your moral compass is so utterly defective that you support Trump, you absolutely do not share my values or have concern for my welfare or the welfare of the nation.

The only "Indian question" that exists is what to order at your favorite Indian restaurant. These white nationalist fascists can get fucked. If they don't like it here, Russia is there for them.

And this gap will probably after the 2030 Census. NC and GA will gain a seat each, WI will lose one. 25-32 will become 24-34. In fact, expanding the party's reach beyond the traditional blue states is imperative. OR, CA, MN, WI, IL, PA, NY and RI are projected to lose a total of 12 seats/electoral

Also, there's a declining return on your ad dollar past a certain point, and overspending on ads can actually have a negative effect if voters get sick of your ads. But underneath it all is that the dog has to like the dog food you're selling. No amount of spend can fix the dog hating the food.

Good thread. Arendt wrote of the "banality of evil" in relation to Eichmann, but this gets at the reality of most of the perpetrators.

The paradox is that there's no limit to what white people can do when they stop thinking the way whiteness taught them and open their minds to all the other perspectives and people the world has to offer. Don't be a Pete Hegseth. That is the road to mediocrity.

Utterly worthless in the long term, though. Seeing Trump for what he is is one thing. Breaking these same people from their 60-year habit of voting Republican is quite another. Until white voters change their thinking, they'll continue to get bamboozled by shitty Republican politicians pushing the

Deb Haaland is one of the strongest people in the country. She ran the Boston Marathon while serving as Secretary of the Interior. On Indigenous Peoples Day. With a damn respectable time of 4:58. At age 60. New Mexico is in for something special. abcnews.com/Politics/sec...

The racism and antisemitism is a real problem and I think the answer is to try to cleave off the sizable chunk of the left that isn't problematic that way and jettison the rest. That part infected with the hate virus just can't be allowed to be a legit part of the party.

No, one should make money the old fashioned way through Medicare fraud. One needs to take a stand against these tawdry nouveau riche ways of making money.

I won't call it revenge, I'll call it holding perpetrators to account. Which is what it is. For the third country deportations, for the kids left here without parents, for the 2 year olds representing themselves in immigration court, for all the atrocities of Trump 2.0. Is that revenge? No, justice.

They're gonna get broken in the deep South. Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Florida. Georgia and North Carolina are gone, Virginia has been gone awhile. That's a big loss in 8 of the 11 states of the old confederacy, leaving Tennessee, Arkansas and Louisiana...

That fucker cost us New Hampshire, too. 22000 votes versus a 7000 vote margin for Bush. Nader can burn in hell. New Hampshire had 4 electoral votes in 2000. With them, Florida would have been moot, as Gore would have already won.

…so sick, but it could have been much worse. And so important for the last 10 years: The professionals who kept me alive were here bc of immigration. Only 4-5 of the probably 4-5 dozen aides, nurses, & techs who cared for me weren’t immigrants. Immigration keeps America healthy.

Too many white voters overlooked his obvious flaws because he was selling white supremacy and those voters wanted it. Trump would not have happened without Obama, who broke many white brains.

Nary a mention in this of the recrudescent racism that fueled the rise of Trump. Until we tackle that, there isn't going to be a "New New Deal". If you want a broad and resilient coalition, we've got to break the post CRA pattern of white voters voting for terrible, racist Republicans.

It is inevitable that someone on the right will propose that what is needed is a final solution to the problem. They've made the transition to advocating for Nazi policies, so it won't be that far a leap to proposing extermination. They want the country to be all white so bad...

Rape culture is one of the defining traits of Trumpism. The phrase didn't go too far. When your ideology stresses male dominance over women -- physically, economically and socially -- rape culture is the inevitable result.

I swear that a hefty chunk of these folks are happier griping from the sidelines out of power than actually winning elections and doing the hard and often imperfect work of governing and legislating. Still think AES wins, but it'll be the "establishment" that drags him across the finish line.

If you care about nobody but yourself and care about nothing but your pet issue, you can't be surprised to find out that nobody cares about you or your pet issue. To have allies, you have to be an ally. This is why the Free Palestine dead-enders are dead to me. They screwed us all in 2024.
